This might be close, but rather than us making them not available I think it would just screw up the sales numbers and they'd like to know how well it does there and here. Who knows for sure...
I thought REALLY hard about this one, and sat there for a good 10 minutes after writing it debating it. I was set on 9 or 9.5, but after writing the review I really couldn't think of any major issues.
Man, I wasn't very interested in the NGP at first (I also still call it that lol) but every day I'm actually WANTING one more and more. I still have next to no desire for a 3DS.
"Emulsion" I'm wondering how much of the game they played. This isn't a review so much as it is a run down of the features of the game.
Then there's the art, and Dimmu Borgir. Which was...surprising to say the least. Quite fitting though.
An interesting re-take on the game. From the sounds of things I would seriously be interested in this, if not for monthly charges which is what really ends up keeping me away from playing MMOs anyways.
The game is just like the first game...in every TECHNICAL sense of the word, it's average. Graphics, presentation, etc.
But when it comes to just plain having a good time, most games can't touch it.
Love me a good brawler, not enough of them coming out these days.
You know, it says a lot that everybody is continually talking shit on Infinity Ward & Treyarch (though mostly Activision), yet EACH successive game sells better than it's predecessor, as do the DLC.
A big part of it stems from the absolute charm that oozes out of Robert Bowling. He could tell you he's going to fuck you with a rusty knife, and he could still sell it.
This game sounds amazing, I might finally have a system seller to make me get a PS3 (well, once I get some money that is)
Interesting to say the least, I'll have to keep an eye on this one
Part of the problem with people not wanting to call their game an RPG is that the term "Role Playing Game" is kind of a misnomer, at least in video-games...isn't EVERY game technically you Role Playing?
That's a different problem though, but I've always found that a strange name for a genre.
Man that just makes the companies he represents look bad. I have a feeling he was speaking out of frustration more than anything, but you have to learn that a public forum is not the place to do that.
I'd almost like to see them try again and spend a little more time making the game itself better, because the visual style itself is absolutely stunning.
I had a ton of fun playing this game, it really lived up to what I wanted it to be.
Wasn't familiar with this before now, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.
I love seeing people call anything below a 7 a "hit seeking review". Didn't bother to read it hm?
Well said and very true. I talked to Allen a few times while he was writing this review, and his experiences were nothing short of frustrating. Everything in that review reflects how he felt about the game, and it got a score he felt it deserved.
The scale is 10 points people, not 7-10.
I still don't know what to think. On one hand I like the idea of a bigger name helping promote a smaller / unknown title like Halo did for Crackdown and Gears is doing for Bulletstorm (albeit those are by the same guy...)
A LOT more people would have overlooked Crackdown if they didn't buy it just for the beta, try it out and find out it was pretty fun.
I just can't help but feel like this whole thing is a horrible publicity stunt, trying to capitalize on the glorified image of "Gamer Girls", as if a female gamer is any different than a male. You've got tits, congratulations! While characters may not be receiving equal gender treatment, players most certainly are and the only people who seem to think they aren't are publicity reps for stuff like this.
This kind of stuff actively hurts the gaming community...
