They are sans publisher. Its a PC only game and from reading their website I'm lead to believe they're going to go with the online distribution method only.
Quote from their site "Publishers are useful in the old physical distribution world, but the Internet is the great equalizer. Notch didn’t need a publisher to reach 20-million Minecraft fans. Riot games didn’t need a publisher to reach 30-million League of Legends players, and Wargaming.net didn’t need a p...
I agree a system that would do it all would be amazing. And they have the chance to do it. But TBH it feels that the 5 million pledge mark while extremely high for an indie game or an other project on Kickstarter, is a drop in the bucket for something like developing a console.
To retain licensing agreements required for a media center type setup on a budget like 5 million plus develop the console seem like a major constraint.

looks awesome!
This looks like something to try out.
Will getting delayed on maps thin out the number of people playing them? I mean if you pay for premium access and only a few other people do that means you'll have a map pack sitting there without many people playing it until the rest of the regular customers get access?
As far as marketing goes, Skylanders is genius. As a parent though I'm very annoyed with it. It sets a precedent that no longer is video games and action figure divided. Now when I buy my kid a video game I'm going to have to buy them action figures to... lol I'm very so-so on the whole ordeal.
Ya that would make for a very different game. I keep hearing quotes from "Stripes" in my head for some reason.
Bold choice for number 1, going against the popular pic on these types of lists lol. But a respectable move.
I have enough 3g enabled stuff. Wifi is good for me.
Ya I was trying to say that the addiction appears to make people spend money on virtual things without the reward of a big payoff that gambling provides. Its scary how our minds work and more scary how people who want to make money take advantage of it.

This is actually a scary reality that I've dwelled on in the past. I've read somewhere (the source escapes me atm) that video game addiction is similar to gambling addiction. It's scary now that f2p games are popping up everywhere, it reminds me of a sort of online casino without any promise of reward.
Whatever happened to the days of just sitting down with a normal game controller and playing a game lol.
ya I agree with you there.
Special ops was not as good in mw3 imo
Thats alot of mines
Seems cool if he pulls it off.
No its not on Steam. You can get the demo and the full game at http://www.starwraith.com/ or various other websites around the web.
Although I'm a huge fan of this game and I in fact backed it. I believe the real test will be in how successful it is after release. Has everyone put their money in now? Or is there still a sizable market for this game after its made?
I'd like to say yes, but only time will tell.
