It's unfortunate that the millions of people are more like the average Joe like myself. I don't know all the tech hooplah behind blu-ray and hd-dvd. All I know for certain is that I'm the average consumer who, given the choice, to buy blu-ray or hd-dvd based on price and quaility of titles. I'll go hd-dvd. Here are a couple of reasons why Blu-ray needs to work on more. BETTER MOVIE/SHOW TITLES.
Transformers the Movie on HD-DVD, not Blu-ray.
The TV series "Heroes" is on HD-DVD, not Blu-ray.
If only Blu-ray had some movies/shows that would give a reason to choose Blu-ray over regular DVD and HD-DVD, I'd buy blu-ray.
So far, I want to watch Transformers and Heroes in high-def because it's going to look AWESOME!!!!

Dude, the PSP was the original record holder in Europe and now is broken by the PS3. However, where is the PSP now? Getting it's "rear" handed over by the Nintendo DS. I'm theorizing that this feature is the only thing that doesn't stand out in comparison with the Wii and the PS3. And since the XBOX360 is priced in between the low-cost Wii and high-priced PS3, this would make the XBOX360 an even better value!

Looking at the MGS4 trailers, I would have to say that MGS4 is on par with Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2(GRAW2). Therefore, Killzone 2 is on par with GRAW2.

This justifys why you should wait until the price comes down before you buy a PS3. I'm sure that when we see games taking advantage of the CELL processor, in terms of physics and such, it will be great. However, the graphics will be limited.

Not surprised. The PS3 has been delayed numerous times. PS3 games have already been ready for more than 1 year ago. Of course, second gen games are here. But, they still don't look as impressive as second gen XBOX360 games.
I think you're missing the point. Before the news of going multi-platform, all gaming magazines and gaming sites were reporting Mercs 2 would be on PS3. It never mentions that it's coming to another platform.

Is it the number of units sold? Is it the games? Is it longevity? Is it a combination of everything? How much profit the companys make?
All, I do know is competition is GREAT! It brings out the best of what each company has to offer. Some good, some bad. Sony does well in introducing new technologies, but they haven't been proven and aren't cheap!

This game was listed for PS3 ONLY. Every game magazine reported it this way. So, the game was an EXCLUSIVE! Get your facts straight.
Since graphics are pretty identical, why would you buy a PS3 to play this game when the XBOX360 is much cheaper? Sony says the PS3 graphics are suppose to be realistic and next-gen and better than the XBOX360. Yet the XBOX360 version looks the same!
I don't mean to flame, but why do I need to pay $200 more for a PS3 when I can play this game on the XBOX360 that is $200 less?
Also, the XBOX360 version has the rumble capability. So, the gameplay MUST be better...
