It's amusing to read this and match it up with articles from last year, then the year before that, etc, etc. I see the ole' year head start excuse is still there, oh look, no mention of RROD all but negating the year head start. Oops, sorry, I forgot that the RROD caused MORE sales due to replacements. It's as if you guys write from some Sony liturgy, expounding on faults of "the enemy" only when it's convenient for the argument at hand.
The issue is that honestly for the amount of work an artist puts in, the pay is utter crap, its a rude awakening for many people who wanted to make a career of it. I realize pay is not everything, but the industry needs to make it worthwhile.
Its talent like this that pretty much makes me throw in the towel for a career in concept art.
This entire generation I have tried to argue the same thing, but it has fallen on deaf ears. They always fall back on Uncharted and Killzone, two heavily scripted (and heavily backed by Sony) games, to back up their own argument.

I believe that unless someone has a working prototype or some concrete way of proving that it is their idea, it should be thrown out. You can patent nearly any damned thing.
