@dirty psp was sucessful in europe but not as sucessful as it could have been, but thats only because the psp lacked a second analogue stick, making games that us westerners love like fps really hard to play on, ps vita fixed everything that sony did wrong for psp

it probably is not about the line-up at all, right now the 3ds is miles cheaper and it's christmas, christmas is for kids so it's not hard to figure out which one they are going to buy.
mind you if 3ds did not do the price cut, i think vita would have sold many more units, trust me

you forget back then was was not going through a recession in the ps2 days, the ps3 hit at the wrong time, ps3 only just started to hit the right price when the slim came out and it just keeps on getting cheaper.
nintendo consoles / portables always sell more during in holdiays because they are cheap, and you don't want your kids damaging something like a psv
just wait till vita hits europe/us guys... then we shall see, the main thing is psv managed to outsell the psp's forst few days of sales, so that is what truly matters increase on last generation
i reckon all people should make a new years resoulution not to post console war articles like this.

they are sponsored by ms what did you expect, seriously and ms are alot more worse than sony im mean its £160 for x360 with a 4gb card, you have to upgrade the storage if you want to be online, so by the time you finished forking out, you may as well have bought a ps3 for £190 you get a 160gb ps3 with a game... but you know it's ok for ms to do it

I remember when 3DS came out as well it had a few teething problems as well, a few of them bricked on updates, and allsorts, howver the problem was small and under the acceptable failure rate, just as there is only a definitive unlucky few psv owers out there right now, seriously i know of 4 confirmed failures, 4/5000000 (0.0000008%) is a good failure rate and i wish the media would not blow things out of proportion, tlike they never did with the 3DS everyone seems to hate on SONY it seems, ...

as for this news, SE you dissapoint me, I actually wanted FFVs for ages, and you just keep on ignoring us all, not amused:-(
indeed the FF fanbase is learning very fast, to be honest even I will pass on FFXIII-2, I gave FFXIII a chance and boy was I so wrong to, it was a very huge dissapointment for me storywise.
even psp games that square have made have been more enjoyable like dissidia, FF- Crisis core, and I cant wait to play on type 0, it looks like a real FF game
heck i even enjoy level 5 games more than se games, so now i buy their games asap, se can wait until i find their games in the pre-ow...

its not just that either, remember wada completely overhauled the focus of square-enix, its all about making as much money as possible now, so ff is milked more than ever, just look at all the remakes and spin-off's for evidence.
It really saddens me to think they would much rather produce as many final fantasies as possible, to a wider audience (even though they already have one - ff7 sold 10 million back in the good days) rather than just focus on quality, story telling, explora...
^^seriously ms is more bothered about which bolt on they can add onto kinect, you know what i watched yesterday, a control your sky tv with kinect, ms really are not focusing on hardcore gamers at the moment.. it's so sad-(
