I smell BS as well. Why would Activision eat away at their new COD sales with this. It's not like the world needs this anyways. Didn't the Dorito Pope warn against a bunch of fake news before E3.

It would be interesting if the main character was ex special forces on a spiritual quest and then gets tangled up with this despot. Interesting dynamic between peace and violence.

There are a lot of assumptions in this article. Marketing edge goes to MS, right because they have been doing an amazing job this past year. MS getting the edge on games lineup, because we all know what they and Sony are going to reveal. Everyone acts like Sony is resting on their laurels and allowing MS to gain traction, which is not the case. Sony knows MS is on the ropes with this latest act of desperation and they will go for the jugular at E3.
That was their original pitch, the one that MS passed on. Things may have changed since then.
This game is one of the reasons I went with the PS4. I really hope we see more at E3.

Well he is definitely the right person to be doing it. I remember last E3 thinking this the guy that should be in charge, he appears to actually care about the games.
Word of mouth is a powerful thing and MS had a lot of gamers trash talking them the past year with their policies and resolution-gate. I think it's going to continue to be a struggle for the Xbox, even in the US. If my story is at all similar to people, I owned an Xbox and a 360 and was in line to get a One until the reveal and E3. It was a tough decision for me but I went with PS4 because Sony had a clear focus on the hardcore gamer and didn't have to backpedal.
E3 is going to get crazy! Now that the price is the same, both companies will be pulling out all the stops. I'm sure this has made Sony reconsider reserving certain reveals for later. It's going to be a bloodbath of exclusives and we all win.
I know everyone's hoping for Red Dead but it's certainly going to be a next gen GTA 5 so temper those hopes.
I'm interested to see June's NPD with the kinectless Xbox. If the PS4 beats the Xbox in June there is no hope for MS.
I'm glad they did drop it but for MS this has to be a monumental embarrassment with all the talk and reeks of desperation.
I will say that this was taken out of context but this company is so out of touch with what the gamers want. If any publisher is next to go under it's Square Enix.
I am pretty sure MS thought they could get away with a Wii and sell a lot of underpowered consoles compared to the competition. They were trying to corner the Bro market that doesn't care about the specs.
