Honestly he doesn't care if the game is easy or hard to play. He just doesn't agree with reviewers saying it is easy for newcomers.... See my other posts.

Really Technically Gears 1 or 2 aren't that impressive. Controls and movement were innovative but not much else.
Absolutely. I myslef can't wait for the Wii game. I know I am a minority but I feel it had the best story of 08 as well.
Only thing in your "Downs" I see a big contradiction bud. More Characters = even less balance... It's just plain math... You can only "paper rock scissors" so much and in so many ways before some people get a stronger rock or sharper scissors or a big damn piece of paper...
overall the online lag is horrid. but all in all the game is playable and fun =D i expect some serious patchwork.

I can't seem to find flower, pain, super stardust Hd, SSF2THDR, Bionic Commando, Flow, Pixel Junk Monsters, Eden and Racers or a ton of other games on PC... Such as Wipeout, Socom, GT Prologue or Warhawk

he gets into much more detail on his page regarding balance and some of the 'dumb' choices Cap made with framing and movement as an example. infinite loop combos and changes to compare to guilty gear with jump and roman cancels and such... It's a good read and in the end despite all his knocking he still says "it's fun"
I just completely read both his articles on his website. He's not bashing the game half as much at this site makes it look. He's giving constructive criticism and good tips that I like to see. He does knock some of it but all in good nature not in a "OMG THIS GAMEZ SUX" way at all. you guys should check it out. Great read for anyone hoping to get better.

You know man. I have always liked Dave Sirlin. I have mentioned him many times here especially and been going to his blog for years.
He is very old school. Did you read what was written? It does make sense in a way. i.e. capcom says the game is "easy to play", Sirlin says "Have you tried challenge mode" Capcom says its "Balanced" sirlin says 'If your Ken or Ryu it is" he is right that it isn't that accessible for anyone to play.

Show me a clip of how many charaters are on screen at once in Gears. Seriously. If you can't have more then 10 online at once and KZ2 has what 32/ 36/ something like that... It's huge. Now when i say show me how many bad guys are on screen at once I don't mean in the background moving like an animation that can't be shot. I mean 30-40 guys rushing you that you have to shoot down and if even one gets to you your dead type thing... You don';t get that Gears can't handle it plain and simple and ...

I agree with Last dance and blueshirt. God of War 2 and KZ2 are amazing. I feel they wont hold a candle to God of War 3 though(Or GoW3 =D however you like). Friday is close. What a good time to own a PS3 eh last dance and BS?

Not visuals. I mean numbers dude. How many enemies are on screen at once. I don't mean "in the backgound' I mean how often do you have 40 enemies trying to shoot you and rushing you like COD4 or KZ2? never. You never get more then 5 or 6 enemies at most on screen at once because the engine can't handle it. Why do you think online is 10 people.
