haha and the release date schedule with those games is hardly going to be kind to you! still, expect mysterious delays for some as they find a quite time in the schedule, so that'll help things out a bit. at least they're finally cranking into gear after years of nothing. GT5 finally being released will be a watershed moment for them.
EA commonly spread their pioneering elements amongst its many franchises, but it was telling that the Be A Pro was first in the NHL series. with only twelve people on the ice at any one time the individual is far more prominant. but then if you don't like ice hockey then you probably won't like the game!
but then the FIFA series is so good that the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo have huge sessions prior to playing the real thing...maybe the author just doesn't understand football all that well, cause they seem to love it, whilst often REAL premiership matches play out as a FIFA match (see last weekend's Man U vs Liverpool match. anyone see those goals scored before? Gerrard's freekick?!) sorry but FIFA is so good that it's hard to tell if it's mimicking life, or life is mimic...
the reason is because penalties were far too easy before. no it's taking into account pressure when you go up to take a penalty. the best players still feel pressure, but their skill means that they're more likely to be able to cope. its all to do with pressure, which IMHO is a great move. its not hard to master it, but there's still an element of difficulty meaning shootouts aren't all about guessing which direction you need to dive.
a point for the author of the actual review: use more full stops. approved in any event.
yes it's useful for comparison with internal metrics, but it's a rather flimshy and unpredictable benchmark. the question is whether or not the industry should depend on something so subjective as this? doesn't it hurt the industry down the line? plus, as peter moore suggests, developers and publishers can tweak games just to get extra metacritic points which don't actually benefit the game overall for the players.
in any event, i'm pretty sure that pub...
i think the purpose of K&L2 was to fill in the gap between the hitmans (one is definitely in the works). get some revenue in, keep publishers happy and give less experienced engineers and designers something to work with. if that's what it is, why not just say it instead of setting goals against something that's completely out of your control.
trust me, it will. complete game changer and it means that it has greater longevity than it's nearest rival UFC undisputed. it should find a good footfold with this IP, whilst the success of the live broadcast will determine if other titles could be used with it. EA MMA is a testing ground for EA and if it works, sports games wont be the same ever again. mark my words...
very much looking forward to the prospects of live broadcasts. if that does well, ea sports could have a tool that will blow the rest of their competition out of the water in years to come. imagine watching fifa matches as if they were really real matches. nba, nhl and madden head to heads becoming as popular their real life counter parts. could be a whole new age for major league gaming as well...
well, someone should just get on with writing critical theory behind videogames in a similar style to traditional media (i.e. literature, film, tv, art). once that happens, you'll see videogame studies cropping up in universities around the world...
this is a joke...right? terrible terrible console
errr no, 3D Realms did nothing for years and years. they didn't take their time, they did NOTHING and then people got annoyed that the publishers got annoyed and sued them. now someone else has taken it on to make some quick money after screwing up borderlands.
how can anybody care?! it'll never be as good as yahtzee's made up version, so why bother? are there no new IPs for publishers to invest in?? seriously, this is pointless. there's better titles out there and the first was hardly so good that it demanded a sequel. if it wasn't for 3D Realms feverishly masterbating for years on end instead of actually making the game, noone would care. not that i'm prejudging the game, but frankly the name won't sell it (certainly not to...
i think they've found a pretty good fit with the PSP but KH3 will probably be out on the PS3. they're being pretty coy about release dates and schedules, but the word is that they've got it pencilled in for 2011. expect to hear more about it soon!
this one is a must have if you're a KH fan. it can wait mind, but it is definitely a must have.
you hope they would! the voice cast makes the wait worth it thank god!!
just goes to show that PR & Communications officers have to say the right stuff. can't imagine that they're actually happy considering Karsten Lund said that K&L2 reviews would “be a lot better”. doing worse does not count as "a lot better". anyone to blame? probably not one individual, but the whole lot (not being too harsh, but it is a substandard game for the development time and resources put into it).
don't think it will be a hit, so i'm going miss. saw the ingame footage and theyve clearly had to shake a lot of the game up from the development days. not convinced i'm afraid and i reckon it'll sink in a competative market. although, expect it to sell better than quake wars!
was just thinking of doing the very same thing, but not sure if it'll make them even more entrenched. any comment we make will let that moron go "see, this is what violence in video games does to people! they've got warped minds!!" let the fool rot in a really minor paper. he'll never amount to anything and anyone pointing this out to them will just make them feel like they're rightious...
yup entire weekend was a sell out. was rammed at most points but the glory of being press is that you got to bypass most queues and at the same time enjoy free cups of tea in the VIP room. what a sweet life...
