Whilst the principle is the same, the difference is you'd need to buy a PS3, Vita and then a game that would be compatible with the control set-up between the two systems. Unlike the Wii U where all games would utilise the controller.
Although I know it's not really a 'new' game, I'm hoping they shed some light on Ace Attorney Investigations 2 for a Western release.
