It is a day one app, just watching streams instead of broadcasting.
PS4 struggles with YouTube video uploading, where as it's from launch on XB1.
Consoles have their ups and downs. It's standard, this is proper being blown out of proportion.
I'll be directly uploading videos to YouTube mainly, so this isn't the end of the world.
Doesn't matter for now, but it will. So watch this space I guess.
Surprise surprise, shopto started taking PS4 payments this weekend just gone, 12 days before launch, 1 day difference to Xbox One. Take your Microsoft conspiracies elsewhere.
Kinect sold 8 million units in 60 days, holding the record for "fastest-selling consumer electronics device in history".
I hate this sales arguement for that reason alone, the original Kinect was pants.
I'm very surprised, considering EDGE wrote the Xbox off a few months ago, this seems a very good score.
@hasj1990
The 360 had sold 8.4m units in the UK as of June 2013, this time last year the PS3 had sold 5m. If you put that into realistic figures as of now, we are talking at least a 2m difference in consoles. Its quite significant, and to add on top the 360 has a huge attach ratio in the UK compared to any other console. We're talking almost double the amount of games being sold per console on 360 compared to any other platform.
So yes, for me, it dominat...
Whilst it's true for the majority of Europe, it doesn't relate to the second biggest market in the world... The UK. Xbox dominates here.
I'm appalled at some of the responses in here, trying to make MS seem seedy.
Well done Microsoft/Sony.
It was good, but nowhere near as good as it was hyped up to be. I was expecting something huge from it. Geoff & Hideo proper hyped it up way too much.
My only concern is this news coming out before its even launched, yes electricals have problems, but there isnt that many PS4's currently out in the wild (until tomorrow). I'm hoping this is just a select few who were unlucky.
No.
Its an opinion, calm down.
Such a stark contrast to the MS article reporting the same thing. Was huge news, now its "meh".
Shopto started charging on Saturday, 4 days ago. Which means it was 13 days before release. The PS4 is still 16 days away. I guarantee they'll have the same process for the PS4.
Just to add, all Xbox One Day One editions and bundles completely sold out on Shopto.net, even one of the journo's over there commented on how well it was selling via preorder. Sounds to me like you just want an excuse to bash a certain company.
Why do you have to turn this into something negative about MS? Its due to demand, and a company like shopto prides itself on being efficient.
Someone who talks sense.
Shame fanboys can't follow suit. Competition is good, gaming is awesome.
So what. PS4 can't upload directly to YouTube. Which is a bigger deal for ME.
Both consoles have positives and negatives, they always will at launch.
