I totally agree. I didn't explain myself well regrading optimization. See,thing is, I try to keep my commits as short as possible. My bad.

I agree devs can find a new solution through coding to optimize a game.

I'm glad ND exist in the gaming industry because they set the bar for other devs to follow.

Because both gaming consoles output NBA 2k14 at 1080 res/60fps doesn't means x1 version of the game wasn't down-graded. Besides, we don't know the optimizing process for either system.

optimizing always means something was down-graded even though we don't see the difference in the down-grade.

I believe the dev has to go to greater length to optimize the x1 version lot more than the PS4 version of the same game to make it run on the weaker hard...

Come on Guys is it really that important to have a game output resolution at 1080p?

Man, most of you are expecting too much power from the x1 hardware. Truth is, the 32MB eSRAM isn't enough to output games at 1080p with out making some trade off/down grade.

Many of you brought a system knowing what specification it has under the hood, so deal with it. Kind of like if you buy a volk wagon you shouldn't expect that car to perform like a ferrari.

Its Amazing how realistic the fur and skin looks on the monsters.

Dead Island 2 doesn't make any sense to me for many reasons. Dead Island 2 has opt-out 8-player in a multiplayer environment. Well, from what I've seen in the Dead Island 2 demo so far tells me there aren't enough zombies to kill for 8 player co op game.

Dying light has opt-out 4-player in a multiplayer environment. There more Zombies to kill, and from time to time it gets to the point where all players have to fight off hordes of zombies which I think better.

@disagree

With high quality textures like what we've seen in this demo can only be accomplished with fast RAM.

Dang, this game looks freaking amazing. I've notice a few recent games are really putting the PS4's GDDR ram to work.

Look on the bright, evolution hasn't let us down down yet so whatever they make I know it's going to be good. I have faith in them. As for burnout, I had a blast playing it.

@BitbyDeath
YOU:
Nah, not open world, maybe increase the different routes you can take to the end but there should always be an end and a beginning. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of a race.

--
Well, In an open world environment the devs can still add different routes in a racing game as oppose to Having many closed off route one take to win a race.

That way I think gamers wouldn't get discourage if he or she can see you majority...

@RevXM

Motor storm Apocalypse was bad a**, I want more. I want massive visual destructive environments everywhere in the next MS game. Lava, land slides, improved hurricanes, mudd flying, building tumbling, etc.

I hope the next MS game is open world like FH2.

Dc looks amazing. The reflections on the car are spot on.
If DC looks this good I can imagine what motor storm would look like.

I agree Sony's GPU n CPU can share work loads. But keep in mind that the data bus between the cpu/gpu ram and the I/O of the PS4's hard drive has to work together to run a task.

mmmmm, from what I've read so far about the PhyreEngine its scalable and can be streamline cross-platform game development between PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. So its possible for the PhyreEngine to run on the x1 hardware.

I don't think the x1 can run Bloodborne. Its possible the devs used tricks to accomplish wonders on the PS4 hardware. To run many cloth animation required a good level of fast geometry from the hardware. That being said, its seems as though the devs accomplish this by partitioning part of the PS4 GDDR ram just like second son devs did.

4286d ago 10 agree11 disagreeView comment

Cloth animation certainly does required a powerful hardware to run. Glad I'm a PS4 owner.

The CPU in the ps4 is not that powerful according to released specs so I'm curious to know how the devs manage to get the PS4 hardware to run loads of silky smooth cloth animations.

The reason for destiny failure was due to HYPE. Not because gamers don't like MMOs.

The Witcher 3 sounds like its going to be a masterpiece. I cant wait to see/hear more.

In my opinion, the Witcher 3 seems like the most polished game this year. Speaking of most polished, there Oughta Be an award for the most polished game.
