Many of u are arguing that this device should have been released with the launch of the system. But do u think over the price? These wii-buyers would have never purchased ps3 with 599 dollar price tag attached to it. I would bet that when if Sony announce this thing at the E3, they will slash it down to 299$. Maybe with a slime ps3?

During this years e3 announce the release date of gow3 with a downloadable demo of this game? Something that really "knocks our sucks off"? And the feedback from the fans can further polish the final product?
The ps1 era was best and will remain a part of my life for ever.
I still recall how people in my school suddenly wanted to be my "friends" when i told them about my console:) And i felt a lot of jealousy from my "friends". I wish i could go through that again:(
I just downloaded the God of war 3 trailer from the eu psn account.
You will see a huge difference there. The graphics are more colorful.
It looked much better than the earlier trailer we had. Its the same trailer but much better!
Because the mass conversion will only happen once the price is 300$ or below. But didn't Sony announce the reduction of manufacturing cost to around 45$ at the end of last year? Surely they will break even around april or may? And the continuing sales of ps2 and psp will eventually yield profit for them.
But i think Sony should strike a deal with Konami to make it ps3 exclusive. And remember, mgs5 wont require that much time and resources as the mgs4 did. They are familiar with the architecture of ps3s hardware. Just hope that they can push the ps3 to its true limits.

The silence from Sony. The fact that the game has been out for more than 2 weeks and Sony have yet to release the sales figure is not a good sign. Indeed not a good sign at all. I purchased the game from amazon and loved it.

I mean either the figures are wrong or kz2 flopped in the sense that it didn't sell to those numbers we all were hoping for!
Why don't they release Crysis on ps3 or 360?

I think Sony should acquire Insomniac. They can then expand the studio and enable them to further polish their titles. Having a developer like Insomniac should be a privilege.
I hope Sony can surpass 30 million ps3s during 2009. That would be huge. I bet that there will be a price cut in october. They may even release a wii-like controller. But that has to be when the price is around 250-200$. I am just a bit curious about these firmware updates and the ps3s crashing. I bought mine here in europe on launch day. If my ps3 breaks down due to these updates, will they fix it for free?

priority and less cost. Third party developers wont give a chit about if one platform a slightly inferior to an other. Just remember the old xbox and ps2? And we all know that making 360 the lead platform makes developing a lot more easier. The reason why devil may cry 4 looked better on ps3 was because capcom themselves stated the Sony folks came and gave them a helping hand in the developing process.

I mean just imagine if psp2 could play ps2 games along with new psp2 games! Just add r2 and L2 with another analog stick. They can release these games on cartridge.
The developers will only have to convert the games. That would be huge!
Those of u bashing gow3 on the graphical department should know that u have not even played 5 sec of that game. And the medium u are see and criticizing so vigorously is one and a half year from completion and the final result.
Normally graphics improve by 30% in that time of frame. And these Santa Monica folks can even reach a higher figure. so don't make these preconceptions based on little knowledge:)

I mean he was personally involved with the first 2 games, so what he saw must have been real gameplay? But when is the earliest estimate for when Sony can show of a teaser? Is there a games convention coming up?

But i think selling 202.2k is not bad at all. Considering these harsh times. But a price cut is imminent. If the mass marked gets this perception that ps3 is a expensive piece of machine than people will make up their minds. And lets get honest, large majority of gamers don't own 2 consoles. So Sony cant afford to wait until 2010 to drop the price:(
mind blowing. I just hope that this game really sells. It should not suffer the same faith as kz2. I hope the game sell 1 million copies in the first month and then on and on with respectable numbers. And Sony need to advt this game a lot better. The timing should also be right. If they release this game in the same timeframe as cod moderns war 2, the sales can suffer. Maybe a late september release is not a bad idea after all?
