I love the fact that people just think you can plug in trophies, like developers are just lazy and don't want to do it. "They missed an opportunity to get people to buy Resistance" Like they don't have an opportunity to get people to buy....I don't know....Resistance 3?

if your game doesn't sell 5 million copies in the first month, it sucks in the eyes of the public. Very few games sell like Halo and Call of Duty. Sorry. Uncharted 2 is still game of the year, regardless of how much it sold.

It's not needed, but it couldn't hurt to have the functionality in the system if they can do it. It could make more then a few people go "Hey, now I don't have to hook up the PS2 anymore if I want to play XYZ PS2 game."

Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer is insanely hard. I bought it first day (with Luminies Supernova) and I still haven't gotten off the second level. The list seems pretty good. So many good games on PSN. Shame people are still going into the 'PS3 has no games' chorus.
you could say that about me also. It's not to say that the single player is bad. It's really good. After playing people that are so much better then me online, I almost breeze through the single player campaign.

What Killzone 2 doesn't have is Cole Train. That's not a bad thing, that's a good thing.
Well, at the very least, he said that it was more feasible to put it out on PSP. I think that would sell ok. As bad as people bag on the PSP, Braid would work very well on the handheld system.
I know that if I had a 360 and had been begging of a port of MGS4 and saw that trailer, I'd be pissed. I'm hoping that the end product looks alot better then that.

The D-Pad is pretty awful. Other then that, it's really not that bad. I'm not sure how you "fix" it without making people re-buy new controllers. I know I wasn't really happy about buyig a DualShock3, but I got a Silver one from Play-asia.com for $36 so it's all good.
I really wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make it out, but i could see at least one come out '09. That would be my focus if I were Sony. To get at least one of the games out around x-mas and hold off on the other until March '10. They did that with Resistance 2 and Killzone 2. I'd say GoW3 has the better chance of making it out this year since Sony is sending people from Naughty Dog and Insomniac to help out with GoW3 and they did mention that they would drop the GoW3 date at E3. i doubt ...

off topic: I like the RE5 demo. It's not like i thought they would veer far from RS4, but it's still looking like it's going to be a good, although a very familiar, game. I don't understand why everyone thinks that every action game has to play like Gears of War or something of the like. But, whatever. People can be into whatever they want, but I don't get people wanting every game to play the same.

Why? What have people been doing for almost 4 years? How many articles have been written in the last week about Killzone 2? The way I see it, Sony is more clever than people are giving them credit for. I think that word of mouth like this is far better and cheaper and, seemingly, more effective then throwing a bunch of money against the wall and hoping a pretty ad ropes in people who are on the fence about PS3.
Get the base hooked on Killzone 2 and then let word of mouth continu...

lots of cut scenes? oh yeah. but, no gameplay? are people really playing MGS4? between managing upgrades on all the guns i had and trying (and i mean trying) to stay stealthy AND not kill anyone? that in itself is alot of game to get through.
i'm not sure what the "no gameplay" argument is. is it because a really great game that's only on the PS3? is it all the story the player has to get through in the game to finish up all the winding stories in the all the MGS games...
