Last time I checked ff7 did not take place on earth or in the year 2016. Therefore there is no reason whatsoever it needs to conform to any of these so called "standards" these SJWs have cooked up.
Overworlds used to be a staple of great rpgs back in the day. Sad to see people treat them like an afterthought and not necessary.
This might make this port of the game actually worth purchasing.

Well now there are zero AAA turn based rpgs to look forward to (minus persona 5, but that's a different beast all together). I bet you guys could name tons of arpgs you have to look forward to.
They should have just made this on PS2 before arpgs flooded the market and ruined my favorite genre. Good job, now you get yet another arpg.
Played this with my uncle. I was the official note-taker drawing maps and clues. I don't think we ever beat it. But at the time I was only playing NES and SNES so seeing 'realistic' characters was mind blowing for me.
I'm gonna get a ton of disagrees but personally I really want fixed camera angles. Nothing gets in my nerves more than having to constantly adjust the camera in a game.
Great..that's the last thing I need. Another system where the games are too expensive. I'm already priced out of buying NES games.

I did the same thing. When the 360 dropped to 100 for the 4 gig model I bought it specifically to play the mistwalker games. The guy at the store tried to tell me it was a terrible idea to get the 4 gig model because "it would fill up too fast and I won't be able to play games like gta5". Once I beat lost oddysee, blue Dragon, and tales of vesperia, I don't think I'll be purchasing any more 360 games.
1000% agree. I cringe when people tell me I only like things because of nostalgia.
I decided to not get a xbone or ps4 this gen and instead get a new pc. Sure I'll miss out on some exclusives, but so far I'm not regretting it.
I wonder if it's different in every city but where I lived, the only time I heard someone talk about Xbox was when parents said "my kid plays Xbox" kind of like in my generation when parents thought every video game was Nintendo even though other systems were around. Everyone I knew that were my age around that time had a ps3.

We are talking about an interactive video game not an image clip or movie. Huge difference.
