first off I got you point and virtua fighter was first 3d fighter. And TK/VF were based on martial arts more so than SF which toshinden is based on.

not last year and 360 was at 7 million when ps3 released. Its made some 4 million in 5 plus years!
What goes unannounced is ps3 is in more than 15+ countries than 360. 360 is also not getting any love in japan. So The fact its really only in 2 of 3 regions and 15+ less countries why hasnt ps3 caught up?!
