it sold over a million which was decent back then but it cost more than most games today. Also shenmue 2 wasnt really released on 2 platforms. West didnt get dreamcast version.
even now shenmues 3d fighting engine is above every full 3d fighter/hack and slash game. I like and have every western yakuza game but their not the same as shenmue
with all the kickstarters going on sega should just ask for 20 million and sell HD updates of 1 and 2.

The game takes place in a few days it takes months to years to use a bow and being a game nobody would want to do all that.

doing 2 grenades and jumping over stuff was so needed in the game. Also of note the fact they got rid of down states means other guns will negate the shotgun so your wrong JIM bob!!
the hammer burst was pretty powerful in GOW3 but downing enemies made it worthless.

I never said halo didnt have a lot of games I said its sold 41-42 million this gen. Halo 1/2 only sold 12-13 million and halo(series) passed 50 million on dec 6 2012. Also on that date halo 4 was 4 million. Its on or near 8 million.
So 50 million minus 12/13 would be 37/38 million this gen and if halo 4 has sold 3-4 million since then that would put it at 41 to 42 million.
GT is at 14, gow 12 including psp/collection plus uncharted/vita 17 so 43 million or so...
exclusives only matter at the beginning.Once you buy a system you have it theres nothing more you have to do. If your friend only wanted those games he's screwed but its not costing him more than his original investment.

yea EU did get it on dreamcast I forgot about that. I got both japanese and both us releases and I would still get HD remakes.
Thats why they need kickstarter and HD remakes to pay for shenmue 3. So they dont feel it was a total loss if it doesn't sell well
