Agreed. I think it would be good for Tyson too to get some positive light on him. He was in such a bad place for so long, and I feel like now he has transformed in such a strong way both inward and outward. Being the face of a boxing game again seems like a great idea!
I agree. It is just unfortunate that the gameplay is pretty poor and there are glitches everywhere in this Switch version. The story really is great, though!
I agree, especially considering all the fan translations that already existed. They could have easily paid one of those fans a nice sum and offered the game on the NES Online service instead. But of course, it is Nintendo, and they never do things simply. haha
It is a great controller. It is just unfortunate that gyro and rumble don't work on the Switch. The rumble will probably work down the line, as the DualShock 4 rumble works on Switch, but I don't see the gyro working as it is different tech.
Exactly. But a slight correction, DualSense works on legacy PS3, not all PS3s, but that is still obnoxious to think about. haha
It's not port begging. This kind of action would benefit MS greatly. Did you actually read the article?
It's not a matter of being impressed, but seeing MS play nice with Nintendo. It would be a HUGE move to do this, and MS of all the current console companies needs to pull something like this off to guarantee better sales this time around with the Xbox Series X than they did with the Xbox One.
There is absolutely nothing desperate about this on Nintendo's side. This would be a desperate and bold move on Microsoft's side. Putting Halo: CE on the Switch is something they could easily do and it wouldn't hurt them at all. Quite the contrary, as the article suggests, Nintendo fans will take notice and definitely consider an Xbox as their second console. Switch owners rarely game on just a Nintendo console, so with the Xbox Series X and PS5 around the corner, a move like this...
It's not a take all strategy at all. Microsoft needs some help with sales right now, and doing something like this would attract so many Nintendo fans to the Xbox brand. Say Halo: CE sells 3 million on Switch, and 1 million of those users decide to invest in Xbox Series X to play Halo: Infinite, that is a massive win for Microsoft. For Nintendo, it's great sales. For MS, it is getting some of that Nintendo money for themselves.
If you read the article, you could understand the strategy. Nintendo Switch has a huge install base, and Microsoft could benefit from playing nice with Nintendo's base. If even 1 million Switch users decide to buy an Xbox Series X because of this strategy, that would be a huge plus for Microsoft. Honestly, it is a win win.
Me too! I know a lot of people don't care for so many ports on the Switch, but I love it! The next couple months are loaded with some exciting games releasing for the console.
I am aware, but you have to consider a couple things; 1) mobile developers feel pressured to compete against other mobile games, so they have to match prices or else they will never do well, and 2) consoles are much more lenient when it comes to sales percentages. The developers make a lot more money developing for Switch or Playstation than they do for mobile or even Steam.
This is a strategy that the console makers have used for a few years now, but it is a huge reason wh...
Well, there you go! haha. That makes sense.
Why does this feel way too similar to Summer in Mara?
That is really awesome to hear! Thank you for sharing.
I know, but this site is a Nintendo one.
As a huge supporter of the Wii U, I honestly do not mind this. The Switch has more games than I know what to do with myself, so all of these Wii U call ups do not affect me. I will not be buying them, but all of those who missed out on the Wii U generation can finally get their hands on games they missed out on. It is a win-win in my eyes.
And besides. Some games are worth double-dipping, like Bayonetta 1 & 2. Have them on Wii U, did I really have to buy them again on ...
No. I meant it is bizarre that Nintendo needs to tell people this. It is 2020. People should understand that not using their electronics can damage them long term, especially the battery. haha
Personally, I think a fun and relevant indie would be more exciting, like The Knight from Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, or Shantae, but that's just me. haha
I absolutely love the series! Own all the NES copies and I even have that Club Nintendo exclusive Doc Louis's Punch-Out. ;)
