i played move sports for 5 hours last night (had to finish gladiator duel gold) wish i hadnt hurt so much
i play in a tiny strip of clear space 6x2.5 feet with no problem
kinect needs more then that it will limit small homeowners and people who have it inthere kids room
i extimate about 5-7million lifetime sales for kinect unless the release hardcore shootergames that work

thing is with a middle class mom who has gotten the kids a wii thatg they rarly play on
prefering pc or tv or shock horros real sports outside
i dont tihnk thell drop 400£ on a 360 and kinnect +games
for the 20-30 crowd who work full time come home for a bit of cod or badcompany or halo

i have to agree with you,
kinect will excell at dance and fitness games
it will also excell at programs meant to keep a toddler from playing submarines in the toilet.
by its nature what it can do is self limiting
what it can do it will do really well
perhaps devs will find ways around the limitations

my tv has a repsonse time of 2ms (pc moniter with hdmi plug)that means it takes 2ms for it to display the frame ps3 has rendered
so 2ms+ stats for the 360 as i dont have moves handy

thats non noticable lag, i cant find human eye delay details but its about the same from when we look at an object to seeing it theres a fraction of a second procesing time

when consoles lacked a lot of power games were either linier in cordirdors so it only had to display one thing room or so at a time
or on rails where it displayed a lot but sent stuff at you in waves while you shot basically a moving duckhunt type tihng (panzer dragoon)
without a solid easy and simple method of dealing with z axis movment kinect must fall back to those methods
yes kinect will be able to work really well for foreground backgro...
was playing on move for a couple hours getting the gladiator duel gold cup, extremly tiring
and that was with the aid of a controller to guide moves
cant imagine trying to do a similar thing either with a fixed moveset or true 1-1 without it youd couldnt play more then a half hour or so
and how many partners will move a block at just the wrong time to accidently kill sackboy....... ah well least hes cute
