This does not surprise me at all. It seems like Titanfall has left a lot of people underwhelmed and I'm hearing a lot of people are quickly loosing interest. I still play from time to time, but judging by the lack of posts on this thread even, it seems like the interest has dropped.
It's interesting that anyone would think to even make this comparison. Power consumption is an important aspect to consider, however there are many more things in the home that drain far more power than any of these consoles.
It also makes sense that the Xbox One would drain the most, since the design lends itself to being perpetually on at all times. (I have an X1 and anytime my TV is on, my X! is on and even when it's "off" it's still on because it lis...
I got the Xbox One for Christmas, otherwise I would have gotten the PS4 for myself. It looked like, for a while, that the Xbox was already down for the count, but with all of this crazy news BEFORE E3, I can only imagine what they are going to announce during the Expo.
I wouldn't even know where to begin to guess...anyone have any ideas? (apart from what's been leaked) I welcome wild speculation and wishful thinking.
(My personal fantasy would be a pa...
MS can still save Kinect as long as they continue to push the bundle. It's all in the marketing. The Kinect bundle needs to be marketed as the "total package" while the Kinect-less option should be available as the "budget" or xbox 1 "lite."
I also don't think that they should bundle any games with just the XBOX1. Game bundle deals should be bundled with the Kinect as well. It's crucial that they let people know how the XB! is design ...
What I think killed the WiiU though is just the lack of advertisement. I had no clue a new system had even come out for Nintendo until I saw one in a store, and even then, with the name WiiU, I wasn't sure if it was a whole new console, or like and updated version of the Wii (kind of like the slim version of PS2 or GameBoy Advanced SP)
If they were going to hit the market with a new system way before the other competitors did, they needed to hit the scene a bit stronger. ...
A Pokemon MMO would blow my MIND! Though that would totally change the strategy of the game since battles against a person are completly different than batteling against the AI.
I dunno if I'd buy a WiiU off of that, but I might.
This is a really cool contest. And tying it to the amount of participation is a clever way to make sure people are actually using the site and not just looking for handouts.
My thought is that people were still holding a grudge against MS for pricing it at $500 in order to force a camera on everyone.
I personally like Kinect, but a lot of people prejudged it. A new interface needs time for developers to figure out how to incorporate it.
The Kinectless option is definitely going to attract some people who were just determined not to get a camera because they assumed it sucked. IMO MS should have sold the console with Kinect for $4...
