Might want to be careful here, though. This dropped about a week after the entire JonTron controversy that's still fresh in people's minds (as well as how Playtonic handled the response to the reaction to them dropping him). Some might be legitimately praising/trashing the game, while some might be just reacting to that whole controversy that Playtonic did the worst thing they could've done about the reaction to the distancing. And criticisms and praises could be taken as little m...

The reasons are simple: betas are known to have bugs in them because they are actively testing the game out in a real-world setting. In other words, a beta should NEVER be viewed as a direct representation of what the final product will be like. The beta is there to make sure that the final product won't have what you expect a beta to be. Reviewing a beta version of a product is counterproductive for a variety of reasons, all of which common sense would prove true.

What...

1. Why did you have to link us to the NeoGAF forum post? Can we please make the Techraptor one the main story, instead, at least? The less attention we give to an echo chamber, ban happy forum like NeoGAF, the better. That and Techraptor is doing a damn good job at covering this so far.

2. If any judge gives Digihom the time of day about this, then they should be disbarred IMMEDIATELY! Though this is supplying the best comedy in the gaming world that we've probably seen...

@joeorc: While you can probably try to say that, I highly doubt that to be the case here. Look at the language that is used in the update. Bethesda is blaming something specific here, and they put it in pretty clear language that is hard to take out of context: a conflict over who should have curation control. Bethesda wants it to work a certain way (they clearly specify what they want), and Sony is dead set against that. It's not hard to see, knowing how Sony has reacted to any kind of u...

@Christopher: And we know of Sony's track record of this in the past. They haven't really been friendly to user-generated content that is not in an environment that they cannot have complete regulatory control over (because Sony thinks that kind of content is somehow the most insecure thing they can think of). Bethesda might've wanted some authority over what is approved, and because Sony wants to be the final curator (for whatever reason they have), and because Bethesda is saying...

Or try to find where any of those features that were promised by the DEVS THEMSELVES went to, and point them out to us. No one else can seem to find them right now!

@Godmars290 The site has been running a bit slow the past few days for some weird reason. Not sure why! Trust me, it should work if you give it a few minutes. I hope it's just the normal issues a site might have from time to time if their hosting company screws up!

I assume you know who Zoe Quinn is, and how she ended up being the catalyst for what eventually led to the uncovering of the GameJourosPros list that sparked GamerGate.

Quinn seemly created something called the "Crash Override Network" (with the - now fitting - acronym of CON). This was supposed to be a way to curb Twitter harassment. In truth, it was never meant for that. Think of a mobster movie when a fancy restaurant is used as a front while people talk about ...

If Polaris/Maker/Disney think this is enough to go forth with a lawsuit (hope to CHRIST they do), then it will come out. What's done in the dark will be brought to the light.

3473d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I can understand the reason, though you know Zoe is NEVER going to come out and say that anything ever happened. Because look who we're talking about here. This is a woman who seemed to have made an entire network, created a false reason behind it, all to attack who she felt were calling her out. But I think it's as much evidence as Polaris (who, remember, IS owned by Maker Studios, who was since bought by Disney, who is pretty freaking powerful) might need to at least consider it. ...

Thing is right now that's making the game unfun right now is that they don't know who they want to listen to: the hardcore elitists who believe difficulty means taking away any quality of life upgrades anyone ever earned (you'll NEVER convince them that flying mounts aren't Satan like they do for whatever reason), or the lazy people that want everything handed to them (assuming they exist and aren't just another anti-QoLer). The people who are just wanting to play a challe...

Hopefully it is true. I had a 2.4 GHz only Xfinity modem, unknowing how much that interfered with a lot of radio waves, and my wireless headset kept having issues because of it. Since moving to dual band and 5GHz, thing have gone steady for everything. 5 will probably be the new standard before long, and I'm not sure why the PS4 never had it to begin with.

There are a TON of these logs that were leaked, and Bro Team Pill did a three hour and then a five hour stream, and they STILL did not get through the entire collection of logs that were uncovered. What I gathered was that Crash Override was basically a cover to protect Quinn and her friends from anything and everything that even dared to challenge or call her out. There are a TON of things that are inside of those logs that they would have to atone for, and this is all while there was a comp...

There is so much wrong with this logic and statement I don't even know where to begin.

3475d ago 9 agree4 disagreeView comment

There's a slight issue with the logic, though, and it might be evident if you watch Angry Joe's review of the game. Outside of the constant crashes he got (at least 7 times his PS4 version crashed), he said that the first few hours (on the first planet he explored) were ones he enjoyed, but as the game progressed, he began seeing the unfinished mess that became what many have been experiencing.

In other words, the major problems might not be hit until a bit later (b...

Just when you think she's forgotten and we can move on, here she is again. But I think this is more of a serious thing, because of how much this cost Maker to put on. I don't know how much legal ground that Polaris could have if they ever chose to sue those responsible (since the logs have been confirmed to be true by one of them that was once within that group, and there weren't obtained dubiously, so they could be admissible evidence - hope I have the right word there), but it i...
