Valve, you've admitted the PS3's success and are considering it (must be tired of all the backlash).

Final Fantasy 7 & 8 were both released on the PC via Eidos, if you remember that. And FFXI was has been available on the PC since they launch that game.

Well, something like that could be easily fixed with software updates, just as the PS3 has had things added via firmware upgrades (such as the trophies and that).
If the infrastructure is working fine and there are no widespread bugs, then it should be ready.

While I haven't played Vampire Masquerade (maybe I should), I think that has a much more interesting concept about vampires than this one will probably have (vamps trying to be dominant, pure-evil species. Not only overdone to death, but so many vamp stories have steered into this "tortured souls that are not able to be fully understood" type of thing, where they have this moral code within them to prevent such things from happen...

Actually, while you have your right to express that, I think the majority of people want a story they can relate to, and thus, that story makes the player care about the characters and the back stories that are presented to the player. They have been there, seen horrors such as those, and suddenly, you want to play on to find out what happens next in the story to see if something gets resolved, and thus, long and behold, you are trying to defeat this boss that will take the next 24 to kill in...
I was about to say that they forgot FF10 and their social commentary of people who shove religion down everyone's throats and let their belief system cloud tolerance and everything else.
