I never played the other dmcs before I played the reboot. I personally loved it. I think it would've been better received if it was a completely new ip. I would have been mad too if they changed the character of a beloved title.

Off topic: This is like when people say, "You may as well get a pc since Microsoft games are coming to it". I still don't care, I am not a pc gamer and just because it's coming to pc, doesn't mean I'll magically like pc.
If microsoft still has the ip, they should continue with the same concept. And if it had problems running, maybe try graphics like the naruto games or like gravity rush(seems like it'll go along well with the concept). And make the gameplay more like ninja gaiden or something. From what I saw before, it looked very clunky. No point in waisting an ip like that. If not, let someone sony have it since I have a ps4 too.
