I am confident they are working on something big. Retro Studios didn't hire ex-Naughty Dog and Valve developers to make a new Donkey Kong that's for sure.
Check out this list of Wii U games coming this year. If you don't see anything you like I'd wait til next year.

The most recent tally of JAPAN only (which is what they're talking about) is actually 39,000 3DS to 13,000 PS Vita. Worldwide it's 200,000 3DS to 33,000 PS Vita. That's no where near "closing the gap".

This argument will never end. People don't seem to realize that Sony and Nintendo work in two totally different ways. Sony likes to create new IPs while Nintendo likes to expand on their existing franchises. This is how they both make money. Neither way is right or wrong it's just business.
Nintendo did say that they will push Wii U advertising for the second half of 2013 starting with Pikmin 3 in August so hopefully they include W101 because it's shaping up to be a really cool new IP.
I hope they release a collector's edition for this game. Maybe throw in Bayonetta 1? :)
What are you talking about? Nintendo doesn't support the DS or Wii anymore. Pandora's Tower was the last game to be published by Nintendo on the Wii. Their focus has now shifted to Wii U and 3DS.
