finally more of an honest review.. 4 hour campaigns should not be getting 8's and 9's out the gate. I dont care how successful the game is, THAT is inexcusable. fuck that no way.
Right.. I cant help to believe that if this game was released a week or two BEFORE Red Dead Redemption sales would have been a lot better.. RDR sucked the air out of the room (deservedly) when it came out. MS shoulda known Rockstars game would be huge.. no excuse for that mistake.
the fact that this game ONLY sold 1 million is completely the fault of MS..

no way Ghost Recon/Max Payne gets released this fall. Also weht to Spec Ops and XCOM? They would be foolish to release any shooters in the fall. waaaaay too crowded.
@thor.. No one is talking about LBP 2.5 months into the year and no one is apparently buying KZ3 2 weeks after launch. not much room to brag so far this year.
add in Rage, Deus Ex, The Darkness 2.. No, no fatigue at all. FPS is still a fresh genre in 2011 with games like these being released.

If the average gamer year is 35 then you can only expect that number to rise every year by a little bit.. 35 years closely mirrors when games first got really popular.
ummmm.. gaming is not a solely a young mans sport.. A lot of people in their30s grew up with them and will continue growing with the medium as it advances.. Wouldnt be surprised to see some of these game journalist doing an 60 minutes/Andy Rooney role later in life railing about how the newer games dont match up to the glory days of Half life 2/Killzone/Halo etc..

KZ3 came and went like a fart in the wind.. Worse sales than the launch week for Killzone 2. Yet those Sony trolls are in every post talking about "Id rather play Killzone 3."

saleswise? wont happen for a loong time. The COD brand is too strong at this point.. All the 2011 FPS's can hope to do is chip away with critical success and hope/pray.

then you should have focused all of your resources to make a kick ass multi only game.. dont spend the better parts of a year hyping up your games storyline and it turns out that it plays/looks like dogs balls. AND you should be ashamed of making a 4-5 hour campaign on a game.
