GTA 4 is a sandbox game and fallout is more of an RPG shooter type so you expect longer gaming time. With a game like gears it comes with a compacted single player with a good online system to boot.
To answer your question, the developers could indeed make it a longer game. But you dont understand the amount of money, time, skill, it takes to make these games. Those 8-12 little hours takes years to make them look and play as smooth as gears do, than add custom monsters, sound ef...
well the game seems to look slighty better than the first with a much improved combat system. That being said, that means the game will be A LOT better and should be a great online game. If the offline is longer and just as fun it will be a must buy for any shooter or gears fan.

Would the fanboys stop with this R2(FPS) and KZ2(FPS) vs GeOW2(TPS) BS? its not even the same gen of games or hell, not even on the same system. All these games LOOK like they will be a lot of fun and that my friends is ALL that matters.
CLEARLY not what is going to be launched, guys COME ON! we already seen what the game really looks like and its freaking awesome just like the old one... The gameplay is going to close to the old one thats why its a freaking squeal... From what i seen so far it looks like a much better gears 1 and that alone is enough to make any gears fan to buy it.

This is just plain wrong wrong wrong. IMO telling if your hardcore or not is very easy. It is only based on how many hours of games you play a week. Counting any games really. I think if you put in over 3 hours every day, your pretty hardcore into the games (there is not step up like no life, thats just stupid and wrong as well). Otherwise your either a gamer or not.

The run was neat but i would have been more impressed with a legit run at 1 hour...
Spore, Starcraft II, Diablo III, WoW lick king exp, AOC, COD4 etc etc etc. PC is doing great, so are the console. No need to hate on one or the other, the better each side does, the better it is for all gamers.
