This might honestly be some of the best advice I've seen on this site. Get the console you want to get. Don't worry about what fanboys are saying on any site. Both consoles are going to be amazing. Get the one that you want the most! Done. I love it man.
"Xbox 360's Xbox Live service required a yearly subscription of close to $100. " Where is the author getting his Xbox Live Gold cards from? He's getting majorly ripped off paying that much. I've never paid more than $39.99 for a year of Xbox Live. I refuse to pay more than that. I always get it on sale.
This might be the smartest comment I've seen on this site in a long time. Everything is so subjective.
I am having the exact same thoughts in regards to FIFA 14. I'm going to be switching from Xbox to PS4, but had plans to pick up FIFA 14 for Xbox...now I still don't know what I'm going to do.
Not caring about characters??? Two words...Mass Effect
I can't disagree with this opinion. MS has completely dropped the ball on this one. After 8 years on Xbox Live I am switching over to the PS4. MS made it quite easy.
Great quote! After seeing Microsoft's press conference I was very excited about the Xbox One.
HOWEVER, after seeing the Sony press conference...wow. I was an original PS owner way back in the mid 1990's, and loved my PS2. I grabbed an Xbox and then a 360 and never looked at Sony again. However, given MS policies regarding DRM and used games, this is the generation where I will indeed be switching back to Sony. I've been on Xbox Live for over 8 years, and it is a ...
I don't think that was his argument. His argument is that this website over the past few years or months or whatever, has been tearing down MS for charging people to play online along with the other services XBLG members pay for. He just wants to know why everyone on here is now accepting and saying it's okay to pay for PS+ to game online. There is just a double standard and that's just the way it is.
I think Mika wants to know why there is a double standard. Tha...
I'm an avid Xbox gamer as well, and I still don't know where I'm going to end up. I want to get the Xbone, but MS is not making it easy to like this system. I am waiting for e3 and to hear what Sony has to say before I make any kind of decision.
I think it looks quite good. I'm just sick of FPS games. Also, does anyone remember what Perfect Dark: Zero looked like when that launched? Looking back at it now it sucks, but it was a slight step up for consoles back then. I'm assuming this gen will be the same way. Games will start to look better and better as time goes. So this being one of the first next-gen titles, I'd say it looks pretty good.
@ TemplarDante I think so! Account created less than a day ago, and has a TON Of comments out. That's funny.
WHERE IS GAMEFLY? They need to be front and center for this fight!
@greenpowerz I'm not jumping to conclusions. I used the word "may". I didn't say 100% GameStop is the only participating retailer. I said they may be the only one, and that would be problematic for our wallets. That's all I was saying.
This is definitely a change for gaming no doubt, but do you think Sony should be booed if/when they announce the same policy at e3? That we should all let Sony know how we feel about their policy if/when they adopt the same one?
I agree that you probably shouldn't buy this system if you don't have a high speed internet connection. As there are far better blu ray players and media devices out there for less money.
However, I do find it interesting that everyone complaining about this feature has high speed internet. Acting like they are fighting for the little guy who doesn't have internet or can't afford it. We all need something to complain about though right? Our perspectives are c...
You are correct, but they may be the only game in town that is considered a "participating retailer," and that is a problem.
I have never seen posts from more whiners in my life. Everyone on here is screaming that this is doomsday for games and MS is killing gaming forever. Transition periods are hard to accept, and I'm thinking Sony will be doing the same thing. MS was smart to get this out before e3 and let Sony deal with heat after they announce their used games policy.
Easily one of the best. Such an amazing experience.
This is an old article. This is not an updated announcement by Microsoft. Look at the date on the article.

I know you might think that...but I'm playing thru Condemned right now.
