Destructoid gave it 5 out of 10. I had this preordered but im going to cancel and put my money on a next gen game. This is my opinion.
this is exactly what I was thinking Sony will have something about this tomorrow for the ps4 they do this every time Ms announces something.

If anythig sony migt have to pay ms for the codecs used in it but as far A S a piece of the disc that will goto to the publishers so ms will not be giving sony much if anything.
Ms did not believe in any of them and thats why they made a add on. They felt dvd9 was fine for this past generation and for the most part they were right.
Ms is now a part of the bluray consortum so sony will make zero from ms. Look it up. The only people who believe sony owned and made bluray are fanboys.

It sounds to me like most people are confused what this is even for. I think Mr. Newell has a personal issue with ms because of the windows eight store and this is his way to compete. Most people, me included do not understand if this is to compete with our console gaming or pc gaming but I think I am leaning towards both.
There is delays on features for both consoles for day one this isnt just the xbox one.
From what I understand is Killzone 4 only has 60fps on multiplayer and probably thirty on the campaign?
This will not hurt windows one bit as gaming is just one of the many things windows does and steam os I doubt will have much on it other then gaming so its not hogging processing power. Its good for someone who uses the pc for only gaming and nothing else. This will not hurt microsoft as much as most people on N4G would lovel for it to do as honestly this will hurt console gaming alot more than operating sales if this is for the steam box.
If I buy a steam box then why would I want to still use my pc with this. If I have to have both to play windows games then this is a joke until linux or steam box has enough games to compete with windows but from what I understand most steam games are windows based so if steambox cant stream windows games without a pc then its a joke.
I dont think the comparison of consoles and pc are a fair one as they are two diffrent machines usually purchased for diffrent reasons and one is upgrade friendly. They both have positives and negatives but all in all I enjoy consoles more as games matter to me more than spending money on the latest cards and updating drivers to get a game to work is not my thing but I understand why its popular as it is a very good gaming platform if you enjoy the responsibility of keeping it up to date. Lol...
If you want that then you need to find a pc version if there is one as there will be little diffrence in x1 and ps4 multiplats.
why does sony keep using foxcon this has been a problem with them in the past and I would think they would want to assemble their project in Japan
