Jesus. Nintendo really took it home this year.
You may not be so correct with your point here. Remember, the Wii is way cheap and doesn't deliver the kind of experience the 360 or PS3 offers. So if you want that experience, you MUST have a PS3 or 360 on top of the Wii. So the Wii may finish #1, but a lot of those people will have more than just the Wii. The Wii won't be the "exclusive" console someone owns unless they're really casual.
So it's not like the Wii will stop people from buying a PS3 or 360 if they want ...
I tire of the debate. Can games be artistic? Isn't debate over the artistic merit of a creation validation enough that games are artistic?
What's with the attacks on this post in the reports section? The story has statistical backing and is merited. @SeanScythe in the reports: I've seen this site on Kotaku a few times actually.
Anyway, I gotta admit, I though the PS3's situation was more perilous than it actually is.
From the article:
"While it’s true that the PS3 is installed in less homes than the Wii or the Xbox 360, if you look at global year-on-year sales, the PS3 wasn’t too far b...
This is officially the Unofficial LittleBigPlanet movie. And LittleBigPlanet is officially, 9's Unofficial Video Game adaptation.
N64 kids, how funny is that! Man if I acted like that my parents wouldve slapped me.
Yeah that game is pretty weird. Ballsy move by the dev though. Making a game with no visuals? That's just something else.
That is what happens in life though, Wile. If you don't perform, you get axed.

That is really funny, though they have no right spoofing those games. They never made a game worth half the price of those. They were so full of themselves, they deserved to go down.
I remember I was really pumped about Free Radical when I first heard about them. If I'm not mistaken, FRD was started by a bunch of former Rare employees. That's why I was so excited. But they have never made anything worth their hype. I never liked TimeSplitters and Haze ended up being gutter.
They always had great concepts with poor execution. Good riddance.
Me too I never really thought about and always got crap for games.
I love the party mode. It's been great for me and my buddies. It's the simplest addition, but probably my favorite so far.
I had a feeling it was going to be bad, but not THAT bad.
Yeah but who's buying that many games on the Wii? May be good for Nintendo, but when EA can't sell more than 200,000 copies of Madden on the Wii, then Ninty's got some 3rd party problems
That is a really terrible list. How do you have a list of best game music with NO game music? I agree that video game music is overlooked way too often. There's a lot of awesome pieces of music that have been conducted for videogames. No one will ever respect it though because they're from games. Most people just think of blips and bloops. Hell even some modern day movies show kids playing 360 games, but the sound playing is from like the 8-bit days.
Exactly when times are hard we always have something to fall back to. In many cases people turn to games and movies, etc.
He's a loudmouth, but I love it personally. Like the article said:
"Jaffe is one of those industry figures whom I love and hate depending on which quote of his I hear. He’s candid and his outspokenness is actually refreshing in an industry where you likely hear PR spin and corporate jargon spit out endlessly as if anyone gives a sh*t about how a companies “portfolio” is shaping up."

“The guy who ended up becoming our investor is actually someone I’d worked with for some time,” said Smith. “And it just sort of came up one day and he was incredibly impressed with what we were doing and wanted to invest and we were sort of like ‘*gasp* Okay, cool!’"
