I've heard this rhetoric everytime a new COD comes out...I get excited, buy the game then sell it on eBay a month later.
There were so many good games this generation but two stand out for me. Metal Gear Solid 4 and Borderlands. They both were game changers for me. MGS4 storyline blew me away and Borderlands was just plain addictive.
Pretty sure that they advertised "it is an all new COD" for the last 3 games.

$50 was steep but I am really enjoying the new maps and assignments. I just hope the other expansions are just as good.

Syndicate is a blast. The only thing that really sucks is that all the enemies look the same.
After I downloaded the update I immediately got a headache! Had to be from the update! Copy and paste this article after every update. Had my PS3 since day one and never experienced any problems after an update.
I preordered Syndicate right after playing the demo. The co-op was a blast!
Buying scenario....Mommy, I want to play video games!! Mom and Dad drive to store...Mom: wow, this fancy XBOX is so much cheaper than PS3! Dad: little Johnny will love it!

Please keep the online gaming free.... More integration with Steam.... No MS proprietary crap either. I want to be able to upgrade my PS4 with standard harddrives...not Sony only HDs.

I don't think the game was over hyped at all. I didn't buy it because there are way too many games releasing at once. I would have bought it if it came out in the summer.
