While trying to prove you were right about something, you use an old story where you had been proven wrong again: "Xbox live to receive FF7 and FF8." Oh the irony.
Where's the post about Ted Price speaking at E3 2010? Or Kojima appearing at Sony's press conference in 2011? You're wrong an awful lot. Getting 50% of your stories right isn't journalism. It's educated guess work.
Instead of looking like a bigger fool, next time post...
Always fun to read articles written by non-lawyers who don't have a clue.
The U.S. Supreme Court case deals with the scenario where an arbitration clause was signed by consumers first. How many PSN users signed such a clause before joining PSN?
Zero. Which is about how much of an effect this recent decision will have on the class-action suit filed against Sony.
I just finished watching this video, which is Exhibit A as to why HHG is not a journalist, but just an enthusiast blogger and Sony apologist. The total lack of objectivity is just mind-blowing.
If HHG really cared about gamers, he'd look at this story from the position of the CONSUMER, not the corporation who may have committed negligence. Gamers are the only ones who are totally without fault here and the articles by real journalists address their concerns. The purpose o...
You are totally clueless. It's a civil trial.
You need to go back to school. You don't go to jail in a civil case nor is it illegal to leave the country. This vacation isn't even admissible as evidence.
And as for this article....Jaysuz, there are a lot of dummies trying to be journalists.
Really? Try checking Metacritic. Edge and Destructoid each gave it a 5 out of 10, IGN gave it a 7, and G4TV gave it a 3 out of 5. Not exactly sterling reviews.
In any case, this guy lost all credibility when he said that the game "isn't lacking in the graphics department at all." The game looks like an early Xbox 360 game as the visuals are terribly outdated.
The single-player game is boring as hell at times. Multiplayer isn't bad, but it...
@evilmonkey501
The article only applies to 3D gaming. New 3D movies and television shows are generally presented differently than games, so that less eye strain occurs. I actually enjoy watching sports in 3D.
However, there is a big difference between HD and 3D. The former doesn't cause discomfort and the latter does. Therefore, a certain percentage of the population will avoid it even when the equipment becomes cheaper.
As of now, the te...
If you read the article, you'd realize that the title is based on experience not guesswork.
Regardless if you personally have no problems with 3D, a fairly large percentage of people do, which makes the tech a risky investment. This is especially true for gamers who will have to pay a lot of money to buy the equipment and who will in return receive a less than optimal experience.
Worse, a portion of the population cannot even see 3D images.
Funny. Real journalists don't rely on other journalists for confirmation of their stories. Someone who is guessing would need a real journalist to verify guesswork, though. This was a rumor floating around prior to the release of Reach.
It's amazing how the HHG sycophants forget every story he got totally wrong. According to him, NFL 2K was going to return about two years ago, Onimusha was going to appear at the VGA's, Sony's PS3 was making more money for Sony...
3D isn't necessary to enjoy a game. But man, Call of Duty: Black Ops looks REALLY good in 3D.
I don't think 80% of the games this gen had plot holes as big as UC1. Nor did they have the derivative cliche-ridden plot, hit detection problems, or a bug that occasionally allows players to shoot through walls.
I could list a rather large number of games that were better than UC1, but I don't have that kind of time.
Look, UC2 may be the best game ever. I don't know because I haven't played it yet. But too many people allow UC2 to color their...
Talk about rose-colored glasses.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a very mediocre game. Silly plot (zombie Spaniards!), pop-in all over the place, mediocre level design (shoot the barrel!), and enemies that need to be shot between 3-5 times unless you get a headshot. The combat is extremely monotonous, repetitive, and not particularly challenging.
Worse, the whole game is nonsensical. Drake accesses hidden parts of the ruins by solving "puzzles,"...
I know, but it's still bothersome. He was shilling for Alpha Protocol before its release and said it would be better than Mass Effect. He would often point to the lack of timed conversations in the Mass Effect series as some sort of huge defect. This title is his way of attempting to show he was right about something, when he clearly was wrong.
As for the multi-player part of the title, the BioWare guys didn't answer the question, but I could see why someone would wa...
The title is misleading. In the video, BioWare never says that Alpha Protocol was an influence. HHG mentions that awful game right before he asked his question.
You keep telling people to educate themselves, yet you seem ignorant of the fact that Sony themselves confirmed that they "shipped" 4.1 move units to retailers:
http://www.joystiq.com/2010...
As for the unique user calculation from VGChartz, that sounds like a total guesstimate on their part. I don't even think Sony could fi...
Self-made millionaire? Why does everybody think that there is a lot of money in game journalism? The New York Times doesn't pay that much, but HHG is going to be rolling in cash for covering video games with a blog? HHG does deserve credit for making great connections in the industry, though.
BTW, I don't think most people rip HHG for fun. He is wrong quite a lot of the time and he doesn't really doesn't practice journalism. He's more of a hype-man. I don...
Raztad,
Deadlybrand is right. Motorola is way off. You'll notice that 120/240Hz refresh rates are advertised for LCD/LED televisions and not plasma televisions. That's because LCD technology at 60Hz often displayed a blurring effect during fast onscreen movement.
The refresh rates on better LCD/LED televisions have been raised in order to display quick moving images without blur. That's it. The refresh rate is how quickly the television can draw a...
No writer at the big gaming sites is making a six-figure income.
You can't move your feet because it throws off the calibration. When I was playing this, I had to reset myself because I was moving towards the screen while throwing punches.
I wish this worked as well as the concept, but it's just not very good. That's why I said to avoid it in an earlier story about the game. I'm sure there will be other good fighting games in the pipeline, so don't get too disappointed if this one doesn't play as you hoped. The Move...
It's great if you love playing your games in 720p rather than 1080p. Otherwise, I don't recommend it.
