Please let them release this for PS4/X1. The port can't be that tough, right?
Relative to the PS4 it's not selling fine. Relative to just about every other console launch, it is. MS is on target for their projections. It's the runaway Sony train that is making it seem otherwise.
Same here!
Digital for this one
@Joe That's an easy question if the Sony exclusives and higher fidelity multiplats satisfy all of your gaming needs. I'd buy the One again for KI, Forza, DR3 co-op, and Titanfall. My fiance uses it for Peggle 2 and Xbox Fitness. Halo 5 and QB are on the way. If you do not enjoy these games or features, then you have your answer.
Xbox owner here. To answer your question I'd prefer something like Ryse in 900p than a 1080p stutterfest. It would be kind of cool to choose which resolution you wanted in the game's settings (like on a PC).
Microsoft, do what you have to do to sell more systems. I have been very happy since November 22nd with Dead Rising, Forza and Killer Instinct. Since we use the Kinect in our living room for voice commands, XB Fitness and Skype, I'd say it was worth the $499 to me (and a few million other early adopters). When the quantity demanded of a good decreases at a current price 3 months after launch it's time to lower that price, especially if the competition offers a great product for less. ...
The game does look incredible. What does this article (any of it) have to do with the X1 or MS?
Peggle 2 is awesome! I sometimes have to compete with my fiance for time on the One due to that game. Titanfall is a blast, though.
Why take it so personally? We take this risk when we early adopt. If I had zero good times since November 22nd (or less than $60 worth of fun), then maybe I'd feel sour about it. They may do something to reward the early adopters, anyway. We'll see.
I agree with these two guys. I love my kinect and it has improved my living room experience (as promised). Maybe one day I will love it for games. D4? Sports Rivals? We will see. Either way, I'm happy.
@darkride66 Yeah, Slickdeals, Amazon and Microsoft's website show an Xbox One Titanfall Bundle" @ $499.
This bundle includes: The Xbox One Console, the Xbox One Wireless Controller, the Xbox One Kinect Sensor, the Xbox One Headset, a one month Xbox Live token card, and a Titanfall full game token code
Titanfall is free with an X1 on Amazon and MS's website today. It's a good time to buy the console in the US IMO. I think the price drop in the UK is fair because (as I understand it) the cable TV integration doesn't work or work as well.
As an early adopter, I'm not pissed. Christmas break would have sucked without my system (and my friends/family would probably agree). Maybe they'll do something to make it right on March 11th, but I'm having a good time so why complain? It's a risk we take.
It's for the US, too. I don't think I can post the Amazon bundle link here.
It kind of does sting. I saw on Amazon this bundle is for the US, too. But I guess the way to look at it is that you take risks being an early adopter sometimes. I have enjoyed my X1 (addicted to Killer Instinct) and I plan to buy Titanfall regardless. All in all, it's a good move. PS4 practically sells itself with its power and price. MS needs something like this.
Point #4 of the original article illustrates why this is not the case. Unless it is a VERY small effectiveness boost, my opinion is that it would ruin the balance of the game. If you look at the BOT thread on the Respawn forums, it seems to me that the majority of players share that opinion.
Even the game calls them minions (on the scorecard for instance). This was a very impressive article! Great job.
Disagree on the first part of your comment. Killer Instinct is the best fighter in years. It is remarkably underrated and I'd buy an Xbox One again to play it. March 11th can't come soon enough. Titanfall is the real deal and something fresh in a sea of rehashed shooters. I'd say it's a must buy.
Titanfall alone, no. Add Forza, Dead Rising and Killer Instinct to that and it justifies the purchase. I know people that bought the X1/Kinect @ $499.00 for Skype, voice commands and Peggle so it just depends on the consumer.
