next gen is in aplha now on crytek 3 engine :) If you have origin and pc you can play it today. Like 1st poster said, prettier then whats out now but nothing of a jump from last gen to current etc

PC for me because Im a graphic whore. Some of the tech on pc is just so far ahead. Need for speed most wanted has tons of directx 11 features that drove me nuts when i saw them missing on the 360 :(
IW has no innovation. My faith is in Treyarch at this point. Im assuming this will be on new consoles and require low end quad cores on pc. I cant stand the MW series anymore sadly. Cod 4 will always be my fav. Still enjoy the star wars mod on pc for it weekly
360 just bans as they always do when cod/halo comes out. ps3 they never care as the cfw doesnt run day 1 releases with out work etc. pc doesnt work in mp until servers go up. so ya

Agreed. I would like to see an open world war game with numerous paths and many approach's to any given situation. These fps today feel like a price of admission for a boring quick ride. I am begining to agree with some friends who believe they need to start selling titles in sperate packages, Single player, MP etc. I can count numerous games where I would have been much happier paying $30 for just the MP.

I think sony is doing a great job with heavy rain, little big planet, flower, journey and many others to name a few. 3rd party titles may be killing the industry but exclusives are on point imo. I wish consoles would allow modding of titles like pc, there is alot of innovation there that keeps old titles fresh. I play left4dead 2 to this day on pc with all the new mods and add-ons users make and it just gets better.
:( I was hoping the Medal of honor would be more action orientated this time around. If they could only capture the fast paced combat of cod in a frostbite 2 engine based fps we would have a solid frantic/pretty fps title. Bear in mind i havent gotten the close quarters dlc for pc just yet. Have you tryed that chunky? Is it worth it?
BF3 on pc is the best engine yes. Console would have to go with Killzone 3. Any engine that can push that quality in 3d is a beast. I love the frostbite 2 engine. I was so upset when I threw dishonored on and saw unreal engine logo.

quad core 3.8ghz and dyi kit with 550ti $400. can run battlefield 3 on ultra so that buys you a few yrs of worry free upgrading
This was one of those titles that came out of nowhere. I remember all the controversy over the meat videos haha
you can get diy kits cheap and a 550ti for $99 which is capable of running battlefield 3 on ultra. rather cheap to be honest. quad core high end and mobo and ram and case with psu is $290 so $400 your into high end gaming.
Id prefer direct x 11 gameplay from pc. It looks totally different on console.
I got bored of 2 after 6hrs. Seemed like a one trick pony. I still dont know why there are so many guns if I end up raping with the same gun for 15 lvls. ?I need to give it another shot. a 6 series and high end quad core with some 2200 ram and your good for 5 yrs easily. Were starting to see some very very low end quad core requirements so i imagine over the next few yrs we will start to see it go from 2ghz quad to 3 in requirements. for the price of a console today you can geta a high end quad core, mobo,ram,tower,psu,hardrive.
