As far as what a man has played this year (no SoM)
1. INfamous Second Son
2. INfamous First Light (standalone)
3. Mario Kart 8
4. DKCTF
5. Destiny
If people are dicks and just play through whole single player games with it that would be a downside. For some reason people don't like to replay cinematic games even great ones (a man guesses they just don't like movies to rewatch either?)
PS4 will surely have Black Friday deals as well. The US is the only country where it's even a competition right now.
LBP3 says hi for that mass appeal game and they have the advertising for FC4 and GTA5. A man would also like to point out that sales trends during the holidays usually follow the year long trends. Also last year in addition to PS4 not establishing its lead yet it was supply constrained as it launched in many more countries at first.
Funny a man has already purchased 5 first party games for PS4 (TLoU Remastered, Infamous Second Son, First Light, Resogun, and Killzone Shadowfall) in less than a year and has LBP3 on his Christmas list. That's plenty for a man and in the first half of 2015 he already has Ratchet Reboot (ok it's third party but still funded by Sony and exclusive) and The Order 1886 on his radar for the first half of 2015

A man wishes people would take this mentality with more games like Half-Life 3 instead of instantly hyping themselves every time there's an event or an announcement that a new exclusive will be shown. They're just setting themselves up for disappointment.
Nintendo has had some really cool updates with load times drastically improved and the quick start menu, PS4 has added 3d bluray and will soon add a conglomeration of features, and Xbox has had some nice features added as well. A man would say all 3 companies have done well supporting their system.
And maybe some next gen stuff like shareplay in other updates and of course more resources being devoted to games as the OS gets customized
A man has gone media dark on this game since E3. Can't wait to try it out this Christmas! A man will be getting his fill of holiday murder with this and GTA5 Super Edition on Christmas...then LBP3 to balance things out he supposes lol
eh, it's a demo. Maybe if this list was made before Alien and Evil Within hit shelves it would make the PS4 list because of slim pickings but a man would be hesitant to put it next to full retail listings with hours more of gameplay. A man is sure the final game will be great though and will make many a horror game list!

Last gen says no but now that Xbox does it apparently it IS what people want even though Sony got trashed by those same people during PS3 days soooooo....a man is stumped
the best looking 360 game but did not surpass Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 Souls, Uncharted 2 and 3, TLoU, or GoW3 or Ascension in the looks department.
The examples of great optimization don't stop there. GoW Ascension, GoW3, Uncharted 2 and 3, Beyond 2 Souls, Heavy Rain, and many other PS3 games still hold up wonderfully today. In fact there's not one that a man goes "uh these graphics are making it hard to play!" mainly because a man is not a graphics whore. He still plays PS1 games and gets just as much out of them. What is and will always be the selling point of Sony and Nintendo consoles and the reason a man enjoys...
Sure as soon as a man gets GTA5 Super Edition...oh wait you need money for that!
have they announced a specific date for that yet? A man preordered the bundle of DLC but hasn't seen a firm date yet
