I mentioned this on a below comment, but EA still plans on making college sport games. In fact, they have one in the works if you go check out their EA Sports blog's recently news update on it. They will still be continuing a relationship with the CLC, and per that relationship will be able to use all the college/university team names, colors, ect. ect. They only cannot call the game 'NCAA Football', but in all other aspects it will be almost the same thing. Additionally, the lawsu...
It doesn't affect it very much. They can still use college and university uniforms, colors, stadiums, team names, mascots, and more because these are controlled by each particular college/university and the CLC. Really, it just means that other companies can potentially use the NCAA logo/trademarks, and that EA Sports will not be able to call the game 'NCAA Football'.
It did sound that way. In fact, EA Sports agreed to a settlement after being in a lawsuit which claimed they had a monopoly-like contract with the NCAA, CLC, and AFL. In the lawsuit, it said that EA Sports used these trademarks to overcharge consumers on the games.
Which may be way the NCAA didn't sound very happy with how EA had been using their logo and name for years.
It doesn't affect the games much; they will still be coming out with a new colle...
I just think the mii is boring, and also not as exciting as playing a well loved, well known character.
This is pretty cool! I wonder how well the final product will be you think? I read that they made an AR racing game before this.
Wooahhhh, that does sound like weird stuff for the remote. Crawling around blindfolded? I'm not sure if that is a smart thing to do hehe. On the other side, this could be fun. I do like silly games.
Dude, I paid for the first Infinity! Haha. Still pretty cool that Infinity Blade II is free to play right now. :)
There actually is a live action TV series that is being made for this (unofficially/officially). It's pretty rad.
It's called What Remains, and the first episode has been finished and published so far. Check it out : http://bit.ly/ZuMF3o
I think I am going to get at least two of the packs :). The extra mission sounds fun and it's cheap enough, so I kinda figure for a little more game play time that's worth it. ^.^ I'm not afraid to admit that I a pretty huge fan of this TR remake!
Oh yes. I actually think the multiplayer is a lot of fun! I mean, it's not your CoD or anything like that. Which really isn't expected with a game like this. It's interesting none-the-less, and you can play as many of the characters in the game and not just Lara. That goes the same for the survivors and the bad guys as well.
So many games these days feel the need to have a multiplayer option - whether it's 'tacked' on or what have you - even when the ...
This is the WORST article I have ever read so far!
"However, no effort is made to try to inject any kind of cultural specificity or tropes into Nilin. There’s no effort made to make her sound like someone’s idea of what a black woman sounds like. And while there are haves and have-nots in Remember Me, Nilin doesn't automatically belong to the underclass because she's a brown person. What drives her is what would drive any protagonist: wanting to uncover her past...
Great review! This is a game I really want to get my hands on! I think it would be hard to deter me no matter the review I read, but this one makes me feel all the more confident I will enjoy playing it.
I really like how Trishul Gohil (the author) points out the game's flaws and successes.
I am especially excited for the different game mechanics using her memory remix abilities.
This part of the article makes me feel this will be real...
I loved it! I can't wait for the next episode!
It's absolutely ridiculous to have already pre-planned DLC up to $19 including storyline when games are so expensive as it is. This is probably why I never buy DLC. And am never having kids. LOL.
I actually took the time to watch this during my work break...man, what a bad idea! It basically was like hey, we kind of made changes. We think. But if you are into gaming, you probably won't care. Ironically, the one person I've seen who likes it (on Twitter), said she wasn't a hard core gamer and mostly uses Xbox as a media center. Yea. FACE. PALM.
Can't wait to play this even though I am missing the last AC. Have all the others, and it's one of my favorite games besides ME.
I have to say, a part of me worries that it will be too much at sea - AC is all about climbing up, running around, stabbing people. I think the ships element could be fun and interesting, so long as it doesn't go overboard (pun not actually intended by what the hell) and takeover the traditions in AC.
I think this is a good thing. It opens up the genre to more companies and developers to possibly compete with EA Sports (*cough* though that would be hard *cough*). I'm not a big fan of exclusive contracts like what they had with the NCAA/CLC. I agree that it does leave the door open for monopolies, and it's disturbing to think of the idea that (as per the claims of the lawsuit), the company is able to overcharge consumers using such contracts.
