you couldn't be more wrong
the main difference with old and new re games is the suspense
in re5 every encounter with enemies would either be pointed out or the objects in the room would be obvious cover so you could guess anyway.
i can barely play old re games because i'm in constant fear of a zombie or something else popping out and would move through hallways as slow as the game would allow, but then re5 and 6 came along and i can play at midnight with lights...
asuming they can make a good improvement like what they did with the first one (best remake ever) then they could do it and actually make it better, as long as they leave the controls, camera, lighting and music the same it should be fine.
and no co-op
no i buy good games because they are good and entertain me

in resident evil 6 demo something was missing right at the beginning

even though i do enjoy the ff 13's i would happily trade them if the time spent on them would have been used for vs 13

games like resident evil 2 that used to have me afraid to move were great then RE 5 comes along and i can run through area after area at midnight in a dark room without getting scared.

i think the vita suffers the same way as the 3ds
i like them and all but to me they are just psp/ds with different games and a small few added features

i would agree but they did so good with re1 that i almost think they should put a lot of focus into remaking games.
