Of course 98% of you in this forum have NEVER played a Forza game in your lives. Give the game the credit it has rightfully earned. Unless GT5 totally reinvents the racing simulation genre and blows everyone away, Forza 3 will remain the most realistic, most accessable and definitive racing simulation ever.

@thief

We all know that GT5 won't run NATIVELY in 1080p. Though Sony will insist it does as always. They're experts at bending the truth to th...

@ Dingodile

As a general rule, I don't take forums info very seriously as, in the case of this site, they are usually very biased. And every source that I've checked so far indicates that Forza 3 runs natively in 1080p. Xbox live gives you specific info on a game's native resolution and audio output and game funtionality (voice support, number of supported players for online multiplayer ).

For example: Mass Effect has a native resoluton of 1080p, whereas Condemn...

@ Dingodile

Actually, Forza 3 runs natively in 1080P.

So far as GT5 having "1000" cars. How many of those are different sponsorship editions of the same f-ing car. GT4 was horrible for reskinning the exact same car time and time again. Forza 3 has well over 400 cars and is having add on content released fairly often.

The whole 8 person multiplayer vs 16 person multiplayer point is moot as well since the game isn't out yet and Sony has a w...

Looks an aweful lot like Forza 3 except with a lot more flat trees in the environments.

HMMMM... Forza 3: 2 YEARS dev time. Gran Turismo 5: 6 YEARS dev time. What's the problem, Polyphony Digital???

@MNicholas.... Yo are an EPIC FAIL! You have obviously NEVER played a Forza game in your life. Admit it. Forza 3 has Full 1080P HD, Anti-Aliasing, FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE cars (performance and cosmetic) that take REAL TIME DAMAGE and a consitant 60 fps frame rate that deli...

Disagree all you want. XBL crushes PSN hands down. PS3 fans will forever have to be content with their console's online service playing the catch-up game.

By the way;

I forgot to mention Xbox 360 has Tru-Skill Matchmaking as well. This helps even the playing field by placing players of a similar skill level together in the same lobbies and matches.

@ FACTUAL evidence

Why do Xbox 360 owners gladly pay for Xbox Live?

1. The best online console service and community, bar none

2. Game with fame (online gaming with music artists, sports icons and actors)

3. Game with Developers (self explanatory)

4. Exclusive XBLA titles and game add-ons (GTA 4: Episodes of Liberty City)

5. Facebook access

6. twitter access

7. last f.m. acc...

@ Regal Prince

Thank you! Someone acknowledging the 360 for its strengths on here is a rarity and is refreshing as a whole.

Check out Game Informer's article on the guy who designed all three systems CPU's and you'll see that even he said they were basically identicle performance wise. The only difference is that Microsoft was more conservitive in their design and Sony was more experimental. Their both based off of the exact same Power PC structure for crying out...

Funny how last gen the original Xbox PWND the PS2 and Gamecube for sheer performance (i.e.: Halo 2, Forza Motorsport, Doom 3, Fable) and still underperformed sales-wise... but now PS3 fans are losing their F-ing minds because they are starting to get some good-looking games despite the fact that PS3 console sales are still playing catch up with the 360.

It's also funny how the PS3 is "superior" graphically, yet their graphical powerhouses support a maximum resolution ...

I agree with their review whole-heartedly.

I have to admit that the beta left a very underwhelming impression on me, despite the fact of having so many people playing at one time. It just lacks any true depth and connection to the player. I played through the beta on a couple of occassions for about 10-15 minutes apiece, and I just felt like it was going nowhere. There was absolutely no sense of accomplishment whatsoever in my opinion.

I was really looking forwar...

If you had ever played Mass Effect for 10 minutes you would see why 360 fans are gaga over these games. Its not just 360 fanboys either.

Let's be fair about this, the God of War games have far more sexual content (sex mini-game anyone?) and graphic nudity. Yet no one calls foul on the series as a whole or points the finger at PS fanboys for being perverts. Let's not be hypocrites people.

Be sure of this... all the critics will be raving...

Are you referring to me? Because I don't know who the hell thetruth is. My name is James Rouse and I'm from Kinston, NC. I just discovered this site about 4 days ago. A case of mistaken identity perhaps???

And please, let's not all climb on board the hate train and spew random insults at people because of their opinion. Especially when you have no interesting or compelling response to a legitimate statement. It just makes you look foolish. I came her...

I don't know anything about the US Army getting PS3s to network for use as supercomputers. And I used to be an Aviation Operations Specialist in the Army. I went to basic at Fort Benning, Georgia and I went to my MOS school for the AOS job at FortRucker, Alabama. Not to mention I was with a unit that was attached to 18th Airborne.

Not getting defensive, just saying.

My sources are coming from head to head articles that GameInformer has pr...

Personal opinions are just that.... personal.

Regardless of which one we think looks better or more appealing we are all entitled to our own opinions. That by no means makes someone a fool or fanboy.

And for you to make such a bullheaded remark just because others may disagree with your opinion is pretty much a textbook example of what a fanboy is.

I agree with the people that say these two should be taken as two completely different experiences. They have nothing in common, be it gameplay, setting, mood, or linearity. So it is virtually impossible to leverage one game over the other. The content is just too varied to make a good assessment on which one is superior. We aren't even taking into account framerates and loading times. PHEW!!!

To get straight to the point. I will eventually get both of them, regardless. However, not for the same reasons. I will not be picking up Heavy Rain for the visuals, even though they are nice. For me Indigo Prophesy was very underappreciated. And I am looking forward to a similar gameplay dynamic in Heavy Rain. I must warn people though. If you are not used to the context-heavy, deeply story-driven gameplay of IP, you may want to approach this game with caution. This IS NOT an action game. I ...

Not much difference. I picked up the 360 version and have had a blast with it, despite the screen-tearing issues. So far as the PS3 version being sharper, I'm not even sure these screens were taken in the same resolution. The 360 supports 1080p (which, I must say, makes this game look glorious) while the PS3 only supports 720p. So why not compare them in their maximum resolutions and show off the REAL hardware power?

But here is an answer for the screen-tearing issues:
