It blows my mind that Nintendo didn’t bother to add the Hall effect to their analog joysticks after the NS1 was plagued by that. Is it too much for Nintendo, Xbox, and PlayStation to do a simple fix on their gamepads even if it costs a bit more?
Still plenty of games even on my Steam wishlist that is also coming to the Switch and those are not the games that will require the latest hardware to run. That is why I appreciate the likes of the Switch and Xbox Series S for keeping games more accessible to PC gamers out there that might not be able to get new upgraded parts due to shortages.
I subscribed for one year with PS Now when the price went down to $10/month and am now subscribing to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. I think I only bought one or two games after playing said game on PS Now while I have bought quite a few games after playing on Game Pass.
On the other hand, you can stream more PS Now games than Game Pass games but soon you will play Game Pass games on Xcloud over more devices than PS Now. Sony has not been willing to commit to playing Playstatio...
It's understandable that Sony & Microsoft's first party offerings are dwindling because of the upcoming next gen consoles but Nintendo isn't in that spot and it seems like they have had a dry run this year when it comes to first party games. Given that Nintendo is no longer making games for two different platforms, it just seems inexcusable for being in this position even with the coronavirus outbreak.
I don't think people would have complained if there...
They just released Doom Eternal which is awesome. They still have a season pass for that game on the way.
Was hoping to hear more about Starfield.
Thank goodness I could just click to have it downloaded on my PS4 Pro at home from work. Between Doom Eternal (already pre-ordered), FFVIIR, and Cyberpunk 2077, I would have been a broke gamer if 2077 wasn't delayed.
Good thing I didn't pull the trigger on Sonic Forces when it was on sale for $9.99.
Take this from someone who has played games on GeForce Now, PS Now (on the PC) and xCloud on Android & iOS: the negativity towards Stadia appears to be too much to be true. What needs to happen is that people need to try the services themselves. Those articles are all speaking too soon because Stadia Base hasn't launched yet and I'm not going to spend $130 on a controller, Chromecast Ultra, and three months of Pro membership on a game streaming service.
Those ...
3.
Too many high hopes.
Wat?
Of course since it's the follow up to the first open world Zelda. A Link To The Past was excellent since it was a follow up to the original NES Zelda using that overhead style. Don't count Zelda II since it was a different type of Zelda game.
The Ocarnia of Time was followed up by Majora's Mask. If you don't want to count MM, there is Windwaker which was pretty good.
The reason to be optimistic is that the Zelda devs will already have e...
Not smart for Nintendo to screw over Europe...oh wait they just launched the Switch in China...no worries!
This instead of a Direct? Switch’s momentum could stall soon.
Click-bait.
The author doesn't realize that PS4 and XB1 games will be also playable on those newer systems. Take Doom 2016 for example...capped at 60 fps and running higher than 1080p my PS4 Pro. id Tech releases a patch for the PS5 that allows Doom to run in 4K and possibly 120 fps. Sony can just tell us that with the PS5, you would see smoother game play even if the resolution doesn't change and people will still buy those consoles. Sony doesn't have a cho...
Game devs aren't going to all of a sudden stop making PS4 games because the PS5 is out.
However, it's different this time around because PS4 games should be backwards compatible on the PS5 and those PS4 he's could have higher frame rates on the PS5 especially single player games.
And I'd recommend a PS4 Pro. I'm happy with my PS4 Pro and PS4 Pros use SATA3 memory instead of SATA2 which means SSDs will perform better on the Pro than ba...
Software attach rate for the Switch really needs to pick up speed. Introducing a budget line for the most popular Switch games would be great and probably sooner than later due to the Switch Lite's launch. Parents aren't always going to spend $60 on a game...more like $20-40.
I believe you missed the point. It's the software attach rate of the Switch & 3DS compared to the Wii & DS.
At first I thought this was a clickbait title and then I read further. Just look at how many titles were sold for the Wii which seems to be nine titles per console sold. The Switch and 3DS are not even touching the numbers of the Wii and original DS which sold over 900 million each. The Switch is at 246 million software units sold at this point and given that the Switch library is clearly bigger than past Nintendo consoles, this is a concern for Nintendo fans such as myself.
You would have to think a lot of those buyers are from SoCal where the Clippers & Lakers have high expectations due to newly signed players.
Was gifted a XSX and given how this generation went, I’m grateful for that. I’m having a hard time getting excited for next gen consoles.
I miss the days when you could put a console in your pocket and mobile gaming reminds me of those days.
I was too young to remember the 1983 videogame market crash but the similarities from 1983-85 are here today. We are probably witnessing one happening right now.
