It's because Sony believe in making high quality games and products thatll sell consistently and not try to rip off their fanbase with low quality gimmicks like Nintendo labo. They are the best console gaming company and it's been that way since 1995.

This game doesn't interest me at all but I might be interested if I can play the campaign without internet access alone.
It's quite funny to me that after seven months of nothing compelling for the switch they would be advertising so much to even have outspent sony PlayStation that actually has games releasing all the time. I can't wait for the non-e3 video of Nintendos upcoming handful of games that they'll be releasing over the next 2 years and I can't wait to see Sony's actual e3 conference

Last gen when Sony wanted cross-play between Xbox and ps3 Microsoft didn't want to do it. Now that Microsoft has sold only 30 million xbox one consoles compared to sonys 80 million ps4 they want to leach off of sonys success. Im glad sony doesnt want cross-play with a failure of a console like the Xbox one.

The answer is that they've focused heavily on releasing cardboard in the last seven months for their core audience to play and nothing compelling for the switch. It's a drought on the switch at the moment. The investors haven't any faith in a gaming console that doesn't release games. It's called a video game console but Nintendo wants to release boxes for it

The next Xbox console already Lost to the ps5. Microsoft already has experienced development team making mediocre and rubbish games that has been constantly failing so owning a bunch of new small independent teams won't do much entering the next generation.
