As somebody who lived through the 80s and 90s, it's so strange to have licensed games that are actually good.
I think they're largely over microtransactions -- just look at the fact that they still haven't added any to Sea of Thieves. They're all about Game Pass now -- exclusives are just something to sell subscriptions.
