Well considering that you can pick and choose your parts, you don't have to buy it out all at once.
So buy a few parts every month or so and once you have everything you need then you build it. Problem is it seems console boys are to impatient to do this.

Sooner or later RDR will be on sale for $15 or $20 so just wait it out. You don't have run out and buy it day one, besides, why not wait for user reviews first?
And I also agree with you about the importance of BC. I have hundreds of digital games , some are also trapped on the ps3 which irritates me. It would be nice if Sony actually worked on a fix to get ps3 games BC with ps5 but we all know Sony isn't willing to do that.
Maybe they should have left this game until after GTA6 is completed considering most of their talent and resources are tied up in a billion dollar budget .

It's not a remake and no one has to buy it if any of what was announced displeases them.
And don't forget there are a ton of dev's tied up in GTA6 at the moment so I'm sure talent and resources are sparse.
It's obviously a remaster not a remake of a 7th gen game.
So maybe they tried but couldn't justify bringing it to ps5, maybe it was to shitty to call current gen.
