define next gen? innovation and new ways to play should progress the generations not power nor a graphics upgrade, ps3.5 i dont think so somehow the wiiU will be more than .5 powerfull than current gen which is the easy bit as the hardware is allot more up to date and long avaliable, the use of the second screen freeing up buttons on the pad ,removing the hud from the screen and countless other options could be available with the second screen.

yea its being slated tho the way the wii was b4 release, but i rekon by talk that nintendo are doing things right this time, anything with more power than the current gen nomatter who makes it will be a hit, and ofcourse the open network is a real bonus
i think the wii u is gonna be rich with 3rd party titles and support, we know that power isent going to be an issue as its allot more up to date than the ps3 and 360 and indeed should be superior to them, also now that nintendo are leaving the network open to the likes of steam and others and letting 3rd partys realy go to town on the system, the wiiU will be a developers wet dream

i was reding in the past that the nintendo network this time around will be open to the likes of STEAM, GAMESPY and others alike to utilize , so game developers can side with them and offer games through these multiplayer apps the same way PC'S do. it would be a good direction to go

motion controls have had there day that is why nintendo have moved away from them this gen, on the other hand microsoft and sony are trying still to push the idea. its had its time the tablet is the way forward i think
