"Commander" miamijaaz
One of the many "affirmative action" Warhawk players that got bumped up from 1st Airman (i.e., "I'm a noob class") to Commander in just one night. Funny thing, I didn't know "Video Game Geek" was a protected class under the U.S. Constitution...
I had barely started playing and after one (yes, one) marathon playing session I jumped from 1st Airman to Commander (!).
While the skins are nice... getting owned by "true" Commanders who've been playing 10 hours a day since launch is not. I feel like an unworthy recipient of an affirmative action spot...
"Commander" miamijaaz signing off.
to look at more R&C videos! Only 4 more days to go....
too bad the average consumer still has no idea what blue-ray, 1080p, hdmi, 7.1 uncompressed audio, etc. is.
Average consumer: Can I still connect it to my 1980s Tube-TV using that red, white and yellow cable and can I play Mario on it?
Store Clerk: Sure ma'm, but in that case you want a Wii. Welcome to last generation!
Considering all those weird horror movies they keep remaking in the US based on Japanese horror movies--like the Grudge and the Ring and such--you'd think deformed, half-naked nurses and sword-wielding things with (fricking?) pyramids on their heads would be right up their alley.
this is a marathon, not a sprint. The race is just beginning now boys, so hold on to your hats and may the best geek console win!
because if that's the case, Capcom = the new EA.
And I will never play a Capcom game ever again. Except for RE5... and Street Fighter IV... and DMCIV... ahhh damn it.
"The fact remains that we couldn't do what what we're doing on MGS4 without Blu-ray..."
Seems pretty clear to me. Why do people always think developers can compress an unlimited amount of data? This simply isn't true on consoles, especially on one that has a core version without a hard drive.
Perhaps they could bring it to the 360 one day, but it wouldn't look, play and be the same game we are seeing today.
this wouldn't make her buy a PS3.. blah blah blah. Soooo 2006.
And what was that stuff about getting the PS3 version only if you have a low end PC? It is obvious they had put back on their green-tinted glasses by that time because just about every other preview from a *reputable* site that's gone out says the PS3 version looks the same or *almost* the same as the PC version. To say the difference between the PC and the PS3 version is the difference between a high-end PC and ...
So, if for whatever reason you don't like PGR4, you are a Sony fanboy. Hmmm... Guess I'll be using the ignore button again.
Ratchet & Clank on October 30th, anyone?
Bueler? Bueler? Bueler?
What happened, couldn't find any more anti-PS3 articles for you to submit today so you are forced to make unfounded and unsupported assumptions about how HL2, etc. will play on the PS3? Must be a slow anti-PS3 news day...
but this is clearly damage control on Bungie's part (if the post is true).
What I don't understand is why even respond to the 640p claim to do damage control? Do they really need to after selling a gazillion copies?
Where is "The Great Big Poo" from Conker's Bad Fur Day? This list sucks.
This game keeps looking better and better... If the crash physics are as good as the game looks, I'm sold.
Please send Jessica Biel over to my house. Thanks buddy!
Honestly cdzie1, just stop. When you want to argue that HD-DVD has sold more HD-DVD players, you conveniently omit the PS3 from the number of blue-ray players sold, claiming people buy it for gaming.
Yet, when you try to spin the fact that Blue-Ray software sales are crushing HD-DVD sales by stating that there are more blue-ray players on the market, all of a sudden you believe the PS3 is a blue-ray player and not a game machine first?
Stop with this FUD. You a...
that people are still defending EGM over Play Magazine.
EGM - Here is our Review! We know it's based on a preview copy and old code and that Factor 5 has told us that there are frame rate issues that will be fixed by the time the gold master is ready, but we don't care! We must rush to press and review this game based on the old code and preview copy before we get the gold master copy, because otherwise we won't be able to crap on Lair and give it a 5.5! 360 ftw!1!1!!
...
"...so I wrote the review on the assumptions that their promises would be kept, got the gold master candidate right before we went to press, and played that version for a few hours to confirm that they had addressed the issues"
He played the gold master and CONFIRMED that the had addressed the framerate issues BEFORE they went to press with the review. Nice try though.
Looks like a cross between Alien and Event Horizon.
Here's hoping EA doesn't screw it up.
