Rare died a long time ago. It doesn't matter what they name it. The core group has long since gone.
I sense good things.
Not this again... Come on guys.
You got me. Assassins Creed 3 does look phenomenal. I guess I just want to reduce the number of sequels in general. Look at movies for example. I swear it seems that there's not an original idea in all of Hollywood and its frustrating. I don't want games to follow in that path.
We need more original games, i.e. Dishonored, and less sequels. I second the Assasins Creed example. Just way to much going on in that franchise.
It's just the pettiness of it all. It's not as if he was trying to actively advertise the Wii. He just happens to be in a Bridgestone commercial that includes a Wii promotion. He's seen playing Mario Kart for just a second or so. If that's enough to get Sony to sic the lawyers on the poor guy then screw them. I mean come on. The PR at that place is just ridiculous. I personally thought the whole Kevin Butler persona was ridiculous to begin with but geez... Sony does not own hi...
I absolutely love the look of the game. You had me at City 17. Hopefully enough gamers take a chance on it to make it a success.
Agreed, but with the metacritic now at 68 I think we're starting to see a tend. I believe there's still a market for true survival horror however with the sales that are needed for a game to be deemed a "success" I fear we may never see a true Resident Evil game of old.
Unfortunate. I have memories of playing Resi 2 in college with friends all huddled around the screen actually jumping at times. That's what I want to experience again, but as Roland would say "the world has moved on". I blame this generations dependence on multiplayer and co-op. You can't have true survival horror when either of these are present.
Won't be buying. I hope everyone sends Ubi a message with their wallets. All I wanted was a return to the shadows.
Loved Splinter Cell last generation. Conviction wasn't bad but I'm just not a fan of the direction the series has taken. Not having Michael Ironside will be the deal breaker for me. I miss the stealthy Splinter Cell of old.
Yes because N4G articles are the epitamy of "journalism". Wake up.
Downloaded both demos. First things first. The game does look a little shitty in the graphics department. Second, I did find that the Xbox looks a little washed out next to the PS3. However the PS3 strangely almost seems to come really close to losing detail due to its darkness. Not black crush just dark. Lastly I did notice that some textures etc seemed sharper on the Xbox (the BSAA patch on Chris's arm for example). If you own both consoles like I do it'll come down to which control...
I'm just not liking the overall direction now. I was hoping for a more fun lighthearted experience which is the impression I got from the E3 Overstrike trailer. This... This just seems like more of the same only with more brown.
Ugh...The next gen can't come soon enough. So sick and tired of the back and forth from both sides. Maybe I'm just getting old. How old are you people making remarks like this? It's like two little kids arguing in the schoolyard about who's dad could beat up the others. I need to stop coming here. Ha ha
Thought I'd beat the rush and order Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders 2 online this morning. Sale went live at 900 am Eastern. Completed the sale at 902. Got an email an hour after my confirmation email stating they were both back ordered. Suck...
15 + games that you don't really own. But yes, at least it's something for your $60 a year.
"I don't know what to believe! You're eating onions, you're spotting dimes, I don't know what the hell is going on." I hate rumors. Give me facts!
I don't know what it is about this game. It looks great, plays great, has received glowing reviews pretty much across the board, and yet I just haven't been able to pull the trigger on purchasing it.
Couldn't agree more. I often wonder what how much better some games could have been had the development time been soley spent on single player rather than tacking on a multiplayer that is doomed from the start. Very few franchises out there have the fan base to support multiplayer. I think that's one of the biggest disappointments this generation. The perceived 'need' for a game to have multiplayer in order to be successful.
