That's what all these haters don't understand MS didnt mandate that games had to play on older consoles, devs are free to choose to make next gen only experiences or support the whole family.
It doesn't matter just removing a disc drive isn't going to drive the price down that much. It's like coming out with a premium version IPhone and the lower tier version all you did is remove one camera off the back.

If this was MS's event they would get so much shit for it, but since its Sony they can show all the cartoony multiplats they want and it's great. You know most of the games Sony showed are coming out for PC to right? The strength of Sony's system which is the SSD is not being utilized so you could say those are games are cross-gen.
