Never beaten an R-Type, from the first one all the way to Final, and I think I've played them all. Those games are hard as hell if you don't know what you're doing.
A friend and I beat Contra in one sitting, with the code of course, but I hadn't beaten it before that.
I recently finished Uncharted on the crushing level, and that was pretty hard, but probably shouldn't make the list. I'm just glad I was able to do it!

I kinda wish I could carry more weapons, nothing too gawdy, more like the amount of weapons you can carry in COD4. That way I can roll with an assault rifle and either a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher, and my pistol. I also wish the pistol was more powerful. was the first RPG I ever played and finished. I haven't finished another RPG since that one, I've started a few (Chrono-Trigger, FF6, FF9, FFX, Parasite Eve, Xenogears and Xenosaga I, Persona 2, Persona 3 to name the ones I remember) but they never held my attention the way FF7 did.
