Blu-ray will be decisive again now the price point is equal. Well MS is f#$%^& in a direct price comparison. Would love to see an ad with price comparison. It would lecture mainstream and MS would...
MS gambled with their price cut. Now it is back firing. In reality nobody really believed deep down in their gut the PS3 would be 299 this year. Sony did the unbelieveable and the first consumer reactions are astounding.
Hitting a sweetspot for a loved product, is in general lethal for competitors.
Those who are willing to risk everything take the crown. Sony bet everything on PS3 imo. The Slim looks like the recipe.
P.S. Slim means clever in my native ...
well i agree. I have mixed feelings. But then again that is a normal thing when you are wondering around in a asylum.
Because to jump as high as possible you have to kneel as deep as possible. Future is looking brite ver brite you hear the whispers of PS3 Slim every where now.
A friend of mine a die-hard Xbox fan Had four times RROD. I call him last week and tells me he bought a PS3. I ask what? He repeated. I dazed a few momenst and stumbled and couldn't believe he did.
The point is his 360 Elite broke last week. He was so pissed that he went out and instead of buying another 360 to ease the wait till the other one is repaired he bought a PS3. I gave him a visit last weekend and said he was done with MS.
This is the real factor, 300 dolla...
Its not about the cost, it is about the principle. I have also a 360 but I am not gonna pay for XBl because I am not a big online player so I get my fix from PSN. I never said what is best, I said look at the core. The core is you have to pay to play on xbl and that's a fact, PSN is no pay to play.
Wich one has the better service? Well this depends on your personal needs, so for any of us the answer will be slightly different.
Acces to online play on 360 is basically pay or no play.
Acces to online play on PS3 is basically no pay and play.
It doesnt matter how you slice it. The services most and foremost task is to provide online play. Doesnt matter what content there is you are basically screwed by MS for a service that should be free in the first place.
How much gamers do you think would pay for live when the core mechanic, online play would be free? I am sure you know the answer.....
Good lis no doubt about it. The funny part is graphics aren't that important to me. Physics and animation are far more important to me to make a game world alive. In that departement the 360 gets totally raped.
There show was triple A, there substance was a triple c. But hey every ones is seeing what he wants to see ofcourse
I bought mine at launch for 600 euro's in 2007. I play a lot, i am also a beta tester and the thing is the PS3 still works. Where as a lot of my friends are on their third or fourth 360. I always pay for quality. Just bought a new bravia for 1500 euro's. Tough it is a lot of money but quality of the image is so damn awesome. I am glad I saved 2 years for it.
A lot of people want to sit in the front row for a dime, when you finally use your braincells you know that isnt possible. ...
And what has that to do with me? I wont eat more or less by it. I am saying the gamers in general have won. I m gaming for fun not for participating companies winning on certain conferences. It also shows how immature gaming media is.
But that's my view on it. Enjoy whay you have is my motto and it seems a buckload of awesome games are coming.
Gamers rejoyce!!!
Just like the unveiling of Killzone 2 in 2005. MS has two options now. Unveil Natal asap or keep working on it and the 360 will constantly be slaughtered with this kind of discussions that eventually will lead to negative publicity.
Sony learned there lesson of 2005 obviously, and showed a real time demo instead of vaporware.
I believe it works but it cant be applied to normal games. I suggest play a race game for half an hour. with your arms straight forward and tell me afterwords how your arms feel and if you even could manage to last half an hour.
Natal is a failure just like wii (not sales wise) because it cant be applied to a character. You cant get your character walking forward and or backwords, you need a controller for that. Motion control combined with traditional controls is where the fut...
Great show without substance. That is why american culture by many countries is despised. MS is the pinnacle of that. When you look at the USA it is a broken country where the bridges litterally fall apart...but we get the party going. or look at your beloved GM. I am not saying Europe is the walhalla, far from that. but europeans tend to see more the difference between substance and show. A beautifull table doesnt mean you have food.
But hey modesty and american culture is like ...
What I find so funny is that both sides are arguing over opinions. The devs opinion is it can only be done on...And lost of people go in a debate like it is there lives that is at stake. That is pretty hilarious in my book and is better than a comedy show on tv. So you all, by all means keep providing me comdey :D
It is really hilarious people arguing over a bunch of wires and a circuit board. Be happy with the things you have and enjoy them.
The problem is japanese dont buy next gen games. There for no capital!!! If I was Wada i would blame the wii cause japanes love wii and not next gen.
In the Netherlands there is a site called PS3Life. They dont give scores in their review. Altough as soon the game is published, the gamers can acces a poll under the review and rate the game.
So the gamers really rate the game!!!
It's like a mirror, at the end you have the swallow...
However they are very afraid of Howard Stringer.
