Glad I am not only in thinking Insomniac makes bad games. Everything they make now has no soul. Was pumped for this announcement, until I seen who the developer was..
Pump out exclusives? They are paying for their exclusives like they always have, so after a year or two its all gone. They got your money, and their "image" so they will abandon the gamer. They invest their money only to get more money, not in studios like they should.
The Witcher is an amazing looking game no doubt, even 2 is awesome. All these graphics tho are not what is going to make a game "next gen". Honestly I am more excited for games in other regards. Look at what ND has done with story telling and attempted to do with AI. Those are the things I want to see with next gen, or imagine if full environmental destruction was a default across all games.
The Division and Infamous were the best looking games, I think Sony made a mistake not showing gameplay for Infamous at their conference because it was freaking awesome.
Yah, I think I only had this problem once the entire game. I have watched others have the problem a lot more tho, in all cases they were playing on medium. Not really sure why this should make a difference, maybe just the pace you play at or something. Because medium almost ruins the game in my opinion, its no where near a survival game, thus playing at much faster pace. Not quite sure the logic behind it.
You can pick apart anything for minor flaws, Humans are less then perfect and everything we make will be less then perfect. You tell me a game that is a 10/10 then, and I will point out a flaw.
Microsoft isnt even letting Rare do the Killer Instinct game either. Lol poor rare, altough Im sure at this point rare is just a name, I cant imagine most of the original employees have stayed there.
God of War II and Rogue galaxy, both games I played after I had my ps3 in hand already.
Also, this generation is completely different, we are not transitioning into 3d, nor into hd, its almost a continuation of this gen so far, so games should not be forgiven for being a launch title.
Lastly of course none of them will be game of the year, that title belongs to the Last of Us ^^

Resistance Fall of Man was a launch game... still to this day one of the best multiplayer games of the generation. But thats probably just a me thing, since I actually prefer shooters that are competitive. Sales would indicate im in the minority tho, since CoD sales like hot cakes year after year.
Just a tip, but maybe you should wait before throwing your money at a game you know nothing about yet.

It doesnt matter either way, the damage was done. CoD was the worst thing to happen this console generation hands down. Its infection spread like wildfire to places it had no business being. Respawn and Infinity Ward can both burn in hell.
The Last of us is my favorite game, probably ever made, leave it at that, dont taint its image with a sequel.
GoW Ascension was like massively panned for keeping a tired series going. Ok seriously WHAT do you want them to do with the story? 3 sums up the story, there are freaking 19 damn prequels to the series.
No No NO! Stop it, give GoW a break. Let them make a new franchise, I dont want anymore for a long while. Dont make ND make another Last of Us either. Give me new games from these great devs, not sequels.
My biggest thing is the games, and Sony always has and always will win on that. M$ throws out tons of money to buy games for the first 2 years, but they have no studios. Case and point, the Last of Us, OMG maybe the best game ever, and its the end of the ps3 life cycle. Because Sony has the best, and some of the best devs int he business.
This is true for one! But even if it stayed overstrike, it wouldnt have done extremely well. Insomniac has not made a good game in over 4 years. And even when they were they werent sailing like hot cakes. So its to be expected. No to mention, the few sony fanboys that wld have bought it, many not now haha.
For me what absolutely killed the game was that the only way to get points was from ultimates. It can be quite frustrating, if that changed I would be on board.
They should of shown gameplay of this in the e3 conference, maybe at the end instead of Destiny gameplay. Because after I seen this running I was blown away, looks amazing.
Its a story that was done in a way that no other medium can do, and no video game has done up to this point. Literally an experience like I have never experienced before.
So if thats not game-changing then idk what is my good sir.
