Nice read. the author has managed to make me somewhat more interested in Nier Automata. I had almost zero interest in the game because of it aesthetic but know I wan't to know what happenss after the gamer is prompted to type Nier's name.
Resident evil 5 and 6 where both action heavy entries in the Resident Evil franchise. The vast majority of today's gamers like more action orientated games (read pew pew, shooty games) that's why these titles were made to be more action heavy in the first place.
RE 7 obviously is a departure from that, so it isn't attracting the same people anymore. The target audience for RE7 was smaller from the get go and the smart people over at Capcom should realize that. ...

No proof to backup that statement. Actually, it seems that for many developers and publishers the opposite happens; the more open they are about the process while still in development the more the consumers side* of the game industry looses interest.

Shareholders are a necessary evil in big budget game development. But their involvement shouldn't lead to products deprived of the authenticity of developers' vision/goal etc.
The preffered scenario is when both investors and creators are on the same page.
Nintendo is doing a better job at spacing out there first party line up for the first year of the Switch than they did with the Wii U & 3DS.
The cringe worthy title made me think 'this is a pot calling the kettle black'kind of situation'
Sony get that tech in PlayStation Move 2.0 please. PSVR needs it.

Both are still being supported that's is necessary and a win for all involved.

The sound design is appreciated during this trailer but I hope they tone it down during the game. It can be really annoying when one is trying to figure out what to do or where to go next in the vicinity of NPC's who keep shouting out the same lines over and over.
Quantity wise we have had a nice launch line up, but must play VR titles with mass appeal are a little trickier to find or arguably not here yet.
Waiting for a VR game with a lasting appeal and a deep rich game system.
Oh no no that's not what Moore was saying. what he said is it will be a custom build Fifa, which will be (named) Fifa 18.
PS Vita owners might realize what that means. Moore's deflective answer, at least to me, is indicative of exactly that which all where fearing it would be.
