What do I do? I was waiting to pick it up used as an F U to Konami, but after all these amazing reviews I'm feeling very weak willed.... Kojima will benefit from my purchase to right? Right!?

You must be a crackhead. AW sucked. Not as much as Ghost, but it sucked none the less. This is the best COD I've played since BO2. I'm not saying it's amazing, but you can't expect much more from COD at this point. Franchise fatigue was bound to set in by now.

Killzone is leagues better... IN MY OPINION. Apparently you didn't catch that part.. I didn't like ShadowFall, but the franchise as a whole is very good. And how am I a fanboy? Check my comment history if you'd like. I own and play all consoles and a vast swath of genres. Crytek makes beautifully shallow games. If you can't agree with that statement I question who the real fanboy in this conversation is.
Crytek makes pretty games, but nothing more. I hope devs use this tech to make better games not just pretty games that are easier on your eyes. Crytek is an irrelevant dev imho. I'm excited for both the Oculus and Morpheus. My main concern though is will it give me motion sickness or a severe migraine. If so screw em both. I'm fine gaming with a monitor/TV and a controller. It's never failed me in the 3 decades I've been playing this way.
I never use splitscreen, but I understand why people like/use the feature. More features is never a bad thing. I'm more curious to know if the game will be 4 player co-op or 2 like the original Gears. I loved the 4 player co-op of the later titles, but if they're trying to replicate Gears 1 then it may need to be 2 player co-op.
I'm guessing thats why No Mans Sky release date wasn't announced at e3. Imagine the bombshell if at PSX Sony announces a No Mans Sky Morpheus bundle with a February release date. People will just be getting income tax returns and have money to spend.
I completely agree. Having Morpheus compatible with an already amazing looking game like No Mans Sky can only make the experience that much more engrossing. Hope both launch soon though, the wait is killing me.
Odds are this just won Sony November. I don't even need another PS4, but I'll still pick this up just because it's Star Wars. Don't underestimate the power of the dark side. Of course MS could be all Han Solo, never tell me the odds, and pull out the win if Halo 5 continues to sell extremely well throughout Nov.
I love the clashing colors. Light side versus the dark. Then a red sith lightsaber versus the Jedi blue.
The bots that they've detailed in the other modes are more akin to TitanFall than COD bots. They dont fill in for players either, each team has the same number of bots. I believe the total number was 20 bots and 20 players, if the recent mode leak is to be believed.
Heck as money hungry as Konami is they could put it on PSN for 5 bucks and make a killin. I'll never delete this little masterpiece. I beat it 3 times and it freaked me out all 3 times. Managed to beat it in 15 minutes on the 3rd run though.
The article says Epic is developing this when in reality it's The Coalition. Just thought I'd point that out. I've been playing Gears of War using backward compatibility with preview program, and you don't really realize how bad it looks until you go back and play it. The Gears UE beta spoiled me. I can't wait for Gears UE. I'm really excited to see how they changed the cutscenes as well.
Well, that hurt their reviews didn't it? Every review I've read so far mentions the slow movement speed. I don't know why it's set up to ramp up speed over time either. It's not a car.
Still no notification when friends go online? I really hope this list is incomplete. These new features sound cool, but we're still missing basic ones that should've made the jump from last generation.
Not a very good week. Oh well, only have two weeks left until Gears UE anyway. Whatever I buy now would just be filler til that drops.

I need this game so much. In a industry full of hulking marines with guns bigger than their arms I'm glad games like this and Journey exist to break up the tried and true formulas.
I'm not just talking about him leaving. Konami disrespecting him by removing him from the box art, and not allowing press to ask questions about or even mention Kojimas name in interviews was down right distasteful. Heck, I'm still pissed we'll never get Silent Hills. Kojima was literally the last good thing about Konami as a game publisher. What do they have without him? Seems to me they should've done everything within the realm of reason to keep him satisfied.
