If neither of the companies touted 4K capability then no one would have been bothered. Fact is Battlefield 4 at 720 or 900p with 64 players and much inmproved effects is a huge step up from previous gen. I played the Beta on PS3 and it looked like a pile of crap!

When the same thing was announced about Xbox everyone jumped on it saying it was a joke and how great PS4 was. Funny how it doesn't seem to be a big deal now.

Not in the least. Being an adult means I can get both if I want to. At the moment Xbox has more that interests me. I'll wait till Naughty Dog release something before getting a PS4. Killzone, Knack and a load of PC indie games just don't interest me.

I think that both COD and Battlefield were rushed on both systems. Things will get better on both systems by phase 2 releases.

Nah just doing it to make sure people can pay without hitch. Place I preordereed from is taking payment for preorders starting tomorrow.
Its a PC in a box they have to do nothing to get it running at 1080p at medium to high effects settings but that's it. It has nothing special about its tech so what you're seeing now is pretty much what you're gonna get.
Developers know how to push PC to limits so all the launch games are already pretty much that. PS4 at its limits.
At least Xbox seems to have done a lot more customisation to its hardware so it has room to grow once developers get...

Seriously in this day and age I think they are both cheap. People spend £500 every year on the latest iPhone or iPad. These consoles are meant to last 8-10 years!
And if Sony had stuck to their guns they would have included the camera and the difference would have only been £30.
Plus in the UK I get Forza free so can take £50 off price as well really only costing me £380 compared to £350 for PS4 with no camera or game.
